  • OSIH Expert Services Team (1804540) - Wyandotte, MI Where the Chemistry Happens BASF is seeking a professional like you to deliver Occupational Safety and Industrial Hygiene (OSIH) strategic consultative and practitioner expertise to more than 100+ BASF sites in North America. Ensuring workplace safety standards comply in accordance to corporate and regulatory requirements, you will strategically interface with various stakeholders and support the organization by driving program projects and initiatives. Qualifications

  • BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent Formula for Success Leveraging your educational and/or professional background you will apply your regulatory and specialized knowledge of occupational safety and industrial hygiene to identify and propose mitigation for relevant OSIH programs and initiatives. You will lead responsible management of corporate, local, state and federal programs and initiatives to improve workplace operations and control hazards; use root cause problem solving techniques to determine required corrective actions and influence best practices; lead project management initiatives; and perform comprehensive data analysis to identify and interpret trends and opportunities.

    Demonstrating your experience in driving change and managing strategic and sustainable OSIH programs, you will serve as a technical resource providing subject matter expertise to support due diligence activities with specialized insight into overall program management and data analysis. Successfully engaging across the organization, you will proactively identify and prioritize opportunities, develop sustainable solutions, execute operational plans, and effectively manage business relationships designed to champion continuous improvement and overall safety performance. Your analytical and statistical abilities will be essential as you navigate data around specific needs and goals, track compliance across facilities, business units, and geographic regions, while managing competing priorities.

Maintenance Technician II - Pump Stations Wyandott, MI $44,000 - 51,000 Full time Union Rolling Shifts Job Duties: Inspects, maintains, repairs and installs mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic equipment at plant and/or pump stations. * High school or GED with the ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions) and be able to carry out verbal and written instructions. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Some vocational training and mechanical aptitude required, with the ability to read, interpret and record data from meters, gauges, scales, panels, computer consoles and other equipment. Operates all pumping station and CSO facilities during storm events, take and report readings, adjust pumps, control systems and chemical feed systems as needed; take samples and preform analysis, record results as required. Perform manual cleaning of wetwells and basins, remove debris from screens. Complete documentation of CMMS generated work orders as required detailing time changes, equipment and supplies used. Must demonstrate the ability to inspect and diagnose process problems in multiple unit processes, troubleshoot mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic equipment and take corrective action within policy and procedure limitations. Must demonstrate ability to accurately estimate time and material costs for assigned projects. Steel fabrication and welding experience may be required if necessary at site. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Must have ability to operate Computer Maintenance Management System (software).
