A rare opportunity exists to join us in the role of a Senior EH&S Generalist at our DARO facility.

This role reports to the EHS Manager. You will partner with EH&S Department personnel and management to ensure EH&S regulatory compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and adherence to ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Standards, P&W procedures and UTC EH&S Standard Practices.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • You will maintain and update site EH&S Procedures.

  • Assist in maintaining Star Level OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) participation.

  • You know Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Industrial and Hazardous Waste Regulations.

  • Manage the TCEQ Notice of Registration, Waste Vendor Profiles, Internal Waste Characterizations and preparation of TCEQ Annual Waste Summary.

  • Monthly Data collection of waste generation, water usage, energy usage and manipulation of data in Excel spreadsheets for periodic corporate reporting.

  • Collect process information and prepare site's TCEQ Annual Tier II Inventory of Hazardous Materials Report, SARA 313 Toxic Release Inventory Report and monthly air emissions recordkeeping spreadsheets.

  • You know TCEQ New Source Review Air Permits and Permit by Rule Authorizations.

  • You'll work with consultants on preparation of air permit and permit by rules.

  • You know TCEQ Stormwater Regulations and EPA Oil Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) regulations in order to maintain the Stormwater No Exposure Certifications (NEC) and prepare and maintain SPCC Plans.

  • You know Wastewater Permitting for discharge to Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW) and assist in updating the Wastewater Discharge Permits.

  • Participate in pollution prevention / waste reduction initiatives, work on cross-functional projects that collaborate with other groups external to and within the core EH&S team.

  • Willingness to learn and assist with our safety and health compliance program. Along with management, you will act as an EH&S liaison with employees at the site.

  • Very limited travel.

  • US Citizenship or Green Card status is required.
