Job Description:

At Regions, the eDiscovery Senior Engineer provide advanced technical assistance in gathering structured data for various types of legal requests. These requests typically involve litigation, regulatory requests, subpoenas, internal investigations, internal audits, etc. This senior level engineer is considered a subject matter expert.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Interfaces with the requesting business unit (often corporate security, HR, etc.) and counsel (internal and external) to understand and interpret legal requests for information

  • Works with IT/business unit system owners to understand the System of Record and translates the request so that can be addressed within the applicable technology system

  • Builds and executes custom procedures to extract requested information and provides it in the requested format

  • Develops and executes reusable processes that are used for timely responses involving commonly-requested data elements

  • Fulfills legal requests using mainframe applications, reports, or distributed systems

  • May access legacy systems (application systems replaced by newer systems) for data extraction depending on retention requirements

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, MIS, or related degree AND eight (8) years of technological investigation, information security, or forensic experience

  • Four (4) additional years of experience is sufficient in lieu of a Bachelor's degree

  • Documented use of eDiscovery Reference Model (EDRM) framework

Preferences

  • Technical Certifications: ENCE / ENCEP, GCFA, GCIA, and/or GCFE

  • Advanced understanding of complex enterprise environments (desktop, server, active directory, network, information security, cloud)

  • Experience with SharePoint development, encryption tools PGP, and Bitlocker

  • Experience with advanced analytic tools and machine learning

  • Knowledgeable of mainframe applications and reports

  • Knowledgeable of coding programs/scripts, PowerShell, PERL, Python, Visual Basic,

  • Advanced understanding of SQL

VIEW JOBS 10/11/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-09T00:00 Job Summary: The Senior Storage Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day support of Storage Administration and Data Backup and Recovery services, and is responsible for supporting storage and backup infrastructure technology implementations in support of Technology Support Services. The Senior Storage Engineer supports all SAN Storage along with backup and recovery solutions in the enterprise and works in tandem with server engineers to provide enterprise storage and data backup and recovery support. The Senior Storage Engineer is accountable for significantly contributing to the overall technical architecture, stability, resiliency, and general health related to data storage, backup and recovery solutions. The Senior Storage Engineer is responsible for solving problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation requires evaluation and judgment; is responsible for evaluating current systems; assisting in designing solutions for customers, and as appropriate, can provide informal supervision, leadership and training to storage engineers. The responsibilities of this position also include the planning and management of technical implementations of various size and scale. Candidates who posses project management skills and the ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams are preferred. Key Responsibilities: * Support for all SAN and backup and recovery systems in the enterprise * Participating in disaster recovery tests and planning * Partnering with peers and management to make informed strategic/big-picture decisions * Performing standard administration responsibilities * Perform pro-active support functions and reporting to maintain the integrity of the enterprise equipment and infrastructure * Contributes to the design and support of enterprise SAN and backup systems including but not limited to technical architecture, stability, and platforms. * Ensure data backup and retrieval is completed successfully, on a regular basis and is compliance with company archive retention policies. * Self teaching advance skills as required * As needed, contribute to the design, implementation and maintenance of storage and backup for: * Mainframe, Unix , Linux, VMWare, and Wintel Servers * Participate in the assessment and optimization of the server systems, through systems monitoring, statistics, and daily health checks. Work with management to ensure accurate reporting KPIs and trends for all facets of the environment. * Working with management, coordinates service calls and schedules appointments with software vendor and consultants to ensure satisfactory resolution of problems and malfunctions. * Maintains accurate and comprehensive documentation diagrams of the enterprise storage and backup infrastructure and communications flow and routing. * Research, evaluate, and recommend new tools and technologies for storage administration. * Identify storage and backup trends and abnormalities and proactively take steps to prevent performance impacts to systems and business function. * Communicate accurate and useful status reports to management on a timely basis. * Instill commitment to quality, customer service, ownership, and teamwork. * Build strong customer relationships. Promote internal/external customer service among organization. * Mentor and motivate junior members of technical support teams. * Be willing and available to provide after hours and on-call support. * Be willing and available to travel as required. * Other duties as assigned.
