* Assist multi-state companies with state and local tax issues including compliance, advising, planning, structuring and controversies

* Review information presented on state income tax returns before, during and after preparation

Example of Duties
Create and maintain accounting records for Municipal Funds to include creating support for journal entries and reconciling items. Prepare complex spreadsheets then, via journal entries, record various allocations or other activities of Municipal Funds. Reconcile general ledger accounts to subsidiary ledgers and subsystems. Certify the availability of funds on Assembly Memoranda and contracts. Prepare year-end audit work papers, schedules, tables, notes and financial statements for Municipal Funds. Maintain a complete cost accounting for Municipal capital projects. Maintain complete and accurate fixed assets for Municipal assets in accordance with governmental accounting standards and Municipal policy and procedures. Track and reconcile Municipal capital projects expenses/expenditures as well as reconcile Municipal fixed asset schedules and records. Maintain complete accounting records and prepare financial reports, schedules and summaries for capital projects and fixed assets for the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR). Participate in the annual audit of the ACFR. Provide training to various departments as required for the SAP Projects and Asset Management (AM) modules. Provide oversight of SAP Projects System and AM Modules as one of the MOA Subject Matter Experts (SME). Perform other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Management, Business Administration or a related discipline and three (3) years of professional accounting work experience.

Minimum Qualifications
