As the Sr. eCommerce CD Manager, Amazon, you will fill a critical role that is equal parts hands-on operations and strategic thought leader. You will identify and create 1P joint growth opportunities with Amazon in the Professional Beauty category. In addition, you will develop strong business relationships with Amazon, our core agency partners, and internal stakeholders (Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.) to drive strong growth for the CP Skin Health US business. As a key member of a small, but highly efficient team, you will work to drive change and bring the broader organization along on this digital journey.

This position is remote, although preference will be given to Scottsdale, AZ.

What you will do

Develop customer strategy and manage customer relationship

  • Acquire an understanding of Amazon's needs and identify the organizational competencies and requirements to win

  • Stay informed of any new pilot initiatives within Amazon to stay on top of ever changing customer capabilities

  • Partner with Shopper Engagement to develop and execute Quarterly Business Reviews and annual Joint Business Plans that achieve planned and stretch Amazon sales and marketing goals and objectives

  • Serve as Amazon's primary point of contact for CP Skin Health US and develop strong relationships at every level of the customers organization

  • Establish regular cadence meetings to discuss current plans and activations and new opportunities with an eye on deeper strategic alignment opportunities

  • Manage T2T relationships, goal setting and investment planning by platform

  • Ensure digital brilliant basics are delivered with customers (product descriptions, images, videos, R&R)

  • Analyzing sales data, develop both near and long term business growth strategies

  • Utilize internal capabilities, analytics platforms to have deep understanding of the category performance

Define and drive specific business objectives

  • Develop business plans, and goals; identify growth opportunities based on an understanding of the Amazon platform and capabilities

  • Track pricing, promotion, presence and placement across the Amazon digital shelf

  • Build strong working relationships with Vendor Managers, Account Managers, Amazon Advertising Account Managers, and lead key meetings as an eCommerce and CP Skin Health expert

  • Partner with Finance, Sales Ops and Customer Service on any order related issues and Supply Chain on production and shipment issues

  • Design and deploy best practices for the Skin Health category regarding Assortment, Merchandising, and Test & Learns

  • Build strong relationships with brand marketing directors, bringing brand health insights from channel on regular basis

Forecasting and Demand Planning

  • Partner regularly with demand planning and supply chain on item level forecasts for the channel

  • Develop and maintain Amazon specific forecasting tool that considers future demand, customer inventory levels, and consumption patterns

  • Provide weekly updates to leadership on current forecast for the week, month, and quarter

  • Closely monitor all shipment status to ensure close of the month and quarter

  • Flag any issues with timing or shipment windows

  • Lead monthly discipline for the channel, calling out risks and opportunities to drive sales

  • Forecast all new innovation for channel based on internal/competitor benchmarks

Who you are

To be most successful in this role, we're hoping you bring previous experience in:

  • Management of Amazon commercial operations & partner engagement

  • P&L ownership including all sales KPIs

  • Developing annual Amazon business plans and targets, annual AVNs, executing quarterly business reviews and JBP engagement

  • Tracking sales forecasts and providing insights, sales trends and sales reporting on weekly and monthly basis

  • Overseeing inventory position - monitoring weeks of coverage on hand and sell out forecasts - and provide reporting updates on weekly and monthly basis

  • Understanding competitive landscape including promotional and pricing activations, retargeting, conquesting, etc to achieve and exceed sales targets

  • Managing item catalog, including item level management and new item setup

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, eCommerce

  • 8+ years eCommerce account management/customer development experience

  • 5+ years of 1P Amazon experience leading customer engagement

  • Ability to work independently and fully own multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Preferred qualifications

  • Master's Degree

  • Experience with capabilities like Pacvue, Profitero, Stackline, and CommerceIQ a plus

  • Previous Beauty/Skincare experience

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $115,200.00 - $163,300.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.

  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements

  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually

  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually

  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year

  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
