The Senior Echocardiographic Technician produces diagnostic images using ultrasound equipment. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic procedures, training staff, maintaining quality control, participating in and facilitating meetings. The role involves rotation, supply monitoring, operating information systems, accurate billing, and record maintenance. The technician ensures a clean, safe work area, assists with data collection, and adheres to schedules and patient care standards.
This position supports cardiology services within our Santa Monica and Westwood campus areas. Rotations within this region are sometimes necessary and required to accommodate staffing needs.
Salary Range: $58.53 - $77.26 Hourly
Job Qualifications

Completion of Ultrasound Technology Program - required
At least 2 years of recent Acute Care experience - required
RDCS or RCS License - required
Current BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - required
Congenital Heart Experience - preferred
Ability to depict lethal diagnostic information that should be considered emergent and communicate with the appropriate entities
Ability to move 500lb+ ultrasound machine around the medical center
Able to take call and report to duty within 60 minutes of request
Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and pathology and ability to apply theory to practice in the clinical evaluation of target anatomy
