The person in this role is expected to demonstrate daily the appropriate analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to fulfill the responsibilities outlined below and generate quality results. Strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate to individuals at all levels of the organization are essential along with the ability to work as part of a team. All members of the EAG team are expected to actively participate in our team environment, communicate with our customers in a professional and service-oriented manner and identify process improvement and optimization opportunities. As EAG continues to grow, members must be able to handle changing priorities, new challenges, and multi-tasking.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and send division orders for new wells and change of ownership.

  • Process complex division order changes, Owner Funds Releases, and Pay Code Changes

  • Prepare and/or review escheat reports and other regulatory filings.

  • Accurately set up new division of interest decks and process Division Order changes based on provided documentation, including but not limited to title opinions, oil and gas leases, curative, conveyances, probate/heirship data and other legal documents

  • Ensure ownership changes are made in compliance with all established state regulations.

  • Resolve and respond to complex owner inquiries; assist division order analysts on similar inquiries as needed.

  • Coordinate with Accounting regarding PPAs and clean-up projects.

  • Participate in system implementation and conversion efforts, including system testing and data validation, as requested.

  • Train and mentor Division Order Analysts, as requested.

  • Assist your Manager with projects, escheat, and other tasks as needed.

  • Review your assigned ticket queue in ConnectWise daily, ensuring you are communicating with the ticket requestor regularly, and completing and closing out tickets before they are due.

POSITION, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited state-certified program required.

  • Bachelors degree preferred.

  • 5-7+ years experience in the oil & gas industry in Division Orders, Lease Records, Land departments or similar role required.

  • Strong knowledge of Division Order Analyst duties and functions of Division Order department.

  • Proven ability to ensure work is accurate and completed in a timely manner.

  • Advanced computer skills with MS Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF.

  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with multiple departments including land, owner relations, accounting, and operations.

  • Strong ability to learn new tools/technology quickly.

  • Experience utilizing the following accounting software and tools a plus:

  • Quorum on Demand (OGSys), Quorum Enterprise, Enertia, Bolo, W Energy, SAP, M-Files, or ConnectWise Manage

  • Ability to be fast-paced and capable of meeting deadlines in a timely manner.

  • Ability to work for multiple clients throughout the month and shift priorities/focus between those clients needs effectively.

  • Working knowledge of oil and gas law and/or state specific ownership related law, including statutory guidelines, unclaimed property regulations, probate/laws of decent and distribution, contracts, etc.

  • Experience in the various basins across the lower 48 a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Exceptional research, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Perform work in an ethical manner.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

EAG offers a variety of flexible schedules and models which would be confirmed during the interview process.

The selected candidate must be Houston based and willing to work in person at the downtown office a minimum of 2 days/week.
