Senior Director, Transportation Electrification

We're on the lookout for a dynamic leader to spearhead our Transportation Electrification (TE) practice. This role focuses on designing and implementing cutting-edge programs for utility and public sector clients, with a strong commitment to ensuring equitable access to the benefits of transportation electrification, particularly for underserved communities.

Position Summary: As the Senior Director of Transportation Electrification, you will oversee strategic business development and operations for TE initiatives, aiming to reduce carbon emissions while ensuring equitable distribution of benefits from the shift to electric transportation. Your responsibilities include strategic planning, business development, operations support, and industry engagement. This position offers a primarily remote, hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities Include:

• Strategic Planning:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive transportation electrification strategy aligned with organizational goals.

• Identify growth opportunities and assess market trends.

• Monitor market conditions and analyze competitors to drive decision-making.

• Business Development:

• Lead program design and proposal strategy for new business development.

• Secure funding for EV charging infrastructure and adoption promotion programs.

• Monitor market trends and regulatory developments to identify new opportunities.

• Operations Support:

• Collaborate with program teams to ensure successful contract goal achievement and client satisfaction.

• Familiarize yourself with program performance metrics, budgeting, and reporting.

• Support team development through recruitment, hiring, and mentoring.

• Industry Engagement:

• Advocate for policies supporting transportation electrification with government agencies, utilities, and industry partners.

• Represent the organization at industry events and deliver presentations.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 8 years' experience in transportation electrification or energy, with a focus on sustainability.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or related field; MBA preferred.

• Minimum 5 years' experience leading and managing teams.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for sustainability.

• Expertise in EV technology, charging infrastructure, and regulatory requirements.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

• Familiarity with quality assurance processes and project management tools.

• Ability to work well under pressure, make decisive decisions, and solve complex problems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven track record of developing successful transportation electrification strategies.

• Extensive network within the transportation electrification industry.

• Experience in program design and team development.
