L3 Technologies, Communication Systems East, is seeking a Senior Director of Technology for our Camden, NJ location. This role will be reporting to the President, CS-East, the Senior Director, Technology is responsible for developing and owning the technology and product roadmaps for Communication Systems-East. Roles and responsibilities for this position, will include but not be limited to:

  • Providing innovative solutions for pursuits in partnership with the Cyber and C4 Solution Centers, Business Development, and Engineering.

  • Directing, prioritizing and managing a diverse team of Solution Architects, as well as other required resources for the primary purpose of winning new business.

  • Ensuring that the team defines and drives the technical direction of prospective business opportunities, develops sound system architectures, provides leadership for proposals and strategic pursuits, and provides significant input to shape the investments and strategic direction of the business (i.e. IRAD and Discretionary).

  • Additionally, the Senior Director, Technology will assess market level technology trends as well as capabilities of complementary solutions (including other L3 locations, external parties and universities) enabling large-scale solution offerings.

The successful candidate must possess both technical and business acumen. S/he will have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to summarize business issues for upper management. The candidate must be an experienced leader able to motivate, develop and retain top talent. He/she must be able to drive our solution roadmaps, be skilled in innovation, and keep up with evolving technology trends. He/she must have product development experience.

Additionally, the candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline, Master's degree in a relevant technical or business focused area desired

  • A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with proven experience making strategic and tactical decisions

  • Demonstrated experience in developing technology and product roadmaps

  • Functional managerial experience leading high performing technical teams of at least 5 individuals

  • Demonstrated experience with Defense C4ISR and Cybersecurity Technology and System or System of Systems Integration

  • Active US Government Secret security clearance, ability to attain and maintain a higher level is desirable

  • U.S. Citizenship
