This senior leadership position will drive and manage cross functional partnerships both within the global organization and through strategic partnerships and acquisitions. Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Innovation: Develop company's Medical Device/Stem/Contraception strategic plans in collaboration with commercial teams and R&D, including short-term and long-term goals, gaining alignment with the organization's ELT vision and mission. Present regular updates to ELT on key changes to market and impact for CSI.

  • Strategic Implementation: Provide guidance and ensure adequate resources for timely execution of strategic plans. Work with appropriate team members on agreed-upon KPIs to track product performance against metrics set either for new products, M&A, or other large key initiatives.

  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor and assess the activities of competitors inside and outside key segments to identify opportunities and risks over the 5-year strategic plan horizon.

  • Market Development & Product Evaluation: Identify new business prospects and potential partnerships in collaboration with medical affairs and commercial teams; evaluating their strategic fit and gauging their potential impact on the organization's expansion and profitability.

  • Financial Analysis: Collaborate closely with the finance team to evaluate financial data, assess the financial ramifications of various strategic initiatives, and ensure the company's strategy is in line with its financial objectives.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate the company's strategic objectives and progress to stakeholders, including the executive team, project core team and the expanded company.

  • NPI: Strategy lead for New Project Introduction initiatives by developing New Product Development Agreements/Proposals. After ELT approval, ensure the implementation team comprehends the project's rationale and stays focused on deliverables within the established scope.

  • Collaboration: Foster collaboration across various departments and teams within the organization, ensuring that the company's overall strategy is integrated and aligned with the specific goals of each department.

  • Change Management: Spearhead organizational change initiatives by effectively communicating the rationale behind strategic changes, addressing concerns, and ensuring that the organization is aligned and prepared for any necessary transitions.

Travel:

This role requires travel both to global corporate offices and international conferences.

Travel: International/domestic 25%.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A sharp focus on customer needs and genuine problem-solving in the market is crucial.

  • Adept in engaging with all levels, both internal and external, including C-Level executives.

  • Exceptional teamwork skills and a collaborative approach to work.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build, develop and maintain both internal and external partner relationships.

  • Capacity to simplify complex technical information into a more accessible comprehension level.

Work Environment:

  • This is an office/remote role with occasional travel to CSI offices and conferences.

  • Prolonged sitting in front of a computer / office chairs in extended meetings.

Experience:

  • 15+years of commercial experience and/or strategy experience within medical devices

  • Proven track record in delivering new products to market and growing market share.

  • Extensive experience in market analysis, competitor assessment, and business development

  • Strong financial acumen, with a history of effectively managing budgets and evaluating investment opportunities.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration across departments.

  • Experience in driving organizational change, implementing new initiatives, and managing transitions effectively.

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred or equivalent science degree
