Under general direction of the Vice President of Strategic Development, the Senior Director, Program Operations will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of the Integrated Health Systems Outcomes Coalition (IHOC) network: a specialty pharmacy network developed to improve access to payer and manufacturer networks through data. This position works with senior management to help create and implement strategic goals that are designed to grow the business.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Network Development, Management and Maintenance

Under general direction of the Vice President of Strategic Development:

  • Oversees the development of a health system specialty pharmacy network

  • Works with members to ensure that IHOC initiatives are completed in a timely manner

  • Monitors member participation data transmission and reporting to ensure quality standards are in compliance with member consulting, participation and data use agreements as well as agreed upon performance metrics

  • Works with other ABC service lines to develop and enhance strategic offerings for member retention and growth, including but not limited to:

  • PHS to obtain training/services to meet/maintain performance goals

  • US Bioservices to develop and oversee payor contracting function

  • Strategic Global Sourcing to coordinate and manage manufacturer contracting functions

  • Works to develop a compliance function for the IHOC network based on agreed upon performance metrics

  • Responds to issues from IHOC members

  • Develops and manages a budget for IHOC operations

  • Participates and contributes to success of quarterly member meetings

Data Management and Report Development

  • Work with CenterX (data aggregator) to ensure clean, timely data submission from IHOC members to CenterX for reporting purposes

  • Work with CenterX, Xcenda and IHOC members to develop participant and IHOC aggregated dashboards

  • Work with the Vice President, Strategic Development to pilot reports for payers and manufacturers

  • Seeks out and builds relationships with additional vendors (including IT, research, compliance) that will serve IHOC members and add value to the network

  • Interfaces with corporate IT resources to ensure seamless synergies with other related initiatives

Program Development

  • Creates innovative new services based on participant feedback

  • Manage vendor-led surveys for IHOC members

Technical Skills and Expertise

  • Strong understanding of pharmacy trends

  • Very comfortable with pharmacy analytics

  • Excellent knowledge of Electronic Health Record and Pharmacy data sets and limitations

  • Identifies and collaborates with internal and external resources and experts

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education; normally requires a minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent program management skills including the ability to effectively deploy resources (direct and indirect) and manage multiple diverse projects in a cross-functional environment

  • Ability to execute on complex, long-range projects.

  • Good analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail

  • Ability to proficiently use computer and standard office equipment

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Critical thinking skills

  • Strong industry and company business knowledge
