We're seeking a Senior Director, Software Engineering to join our stellar team!
We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you'll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remote.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you'll lead agile teams that develop and support high volume 24x7 processing/digital communication systems
You'll implement new features that embrace scalable, secure, resilient architectural principles
Contribute to technical design discussions that will result in technical improvements
Review business and functional requirements provided by the Product team and translate them to well architected technical solutions
Provide leadership to developers in terms of technology decisions and best coding/design practices
Ensure that the development team delivers well tested, high quality code
Ensure all code conforms to software security practices and is free of security vulnerabilities
Work with QA to build test cases and explain impacted test areas
Rapidly address issues and fix defects in production as needed
Provides leadership and guidance to mentor, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance in a demanding, fast paced environment
Qualifications
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, related degree, or comparable experience
10+ years of overall software development experience leading software engineering teams
Must have experience in managing high volume, 24x7, transaction processing systems
Extensive experience in AWS services (e.g. Lambda, Glue, DynamoDB, Aurora, Redshift, SQS, Cognito, CloudFront, Gateway API) and AWS architecture best practices
Experience with one or more languages, i.e., Java, Python, Node.js, Java Script,
Experience designing, and supporting enterprise scale systems that have high performance and scalability requirements
Passion for always learning and applying new technologies to meet clients' objectives
Ability to coach and mentor resources and optimally handle and shape team and individual behaviors
Ability to attract, motivate , develop and retain talent
Total dedication to quality and attention to detail
Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $110,000 - $165,000. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
