The Senior Director will understand and translate business needs into premiere technology solutions to meet clients' needs through software, while influencing technology decisions across the organization. The position will also ensure that we build compelling, client-oriented solutions in an iterative methodology, while also delivering new client-facing software products and rigorous analytical skills.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a broad portfolio of diverse technology teams (Development, Database, & Architecture) and projects to provide web, API and integration solutions.
Collaborate with product, design and engineering leadership to construct a product delivery strategy, reasonable roadmaps, and timelines.
Set vision for shared capabilities across departments and establish a set of standards and procedures of operation.
Build business-to-business applications that empower clients to succeed.
Navigate the organization, as necessary, to unblock the team and ensure timely delivery of projects.
Manage rapid prototyping and interface design testing.
Collaborate and influence business partners in developing and driving strategic technology roadmaps.
Provide support, guidance and leadership to all direct reports and team members.
Perform ad hoc responsibilities, as needed.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor's degree in computer science, relevant/related IT field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 12 years of experience in developing applications, with at least 8 years of experience in Software Engineering.
Minimum of 5-7 years of leadership and/or consultant management experience, building and managing development teams, directly or indirectly, that design and deliver large distributed systems, ideally in an agile environment.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in Agile practices.
Must be familiar with agile software development methodology.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of databases and software architecture.
Strong proficiency in all or some of the following technologies: C++, Java, MSSQL, MYSQL.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
Strong Interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross functionally with other leaders.
Strong decision-making skills including ability to escalate issues, risks as appropriate.
