Sr Director, SLF Segment GTM Lead

The Sr. Director, Small Law Firm (SLF) Segment GTM Lead is responsible for delivering on our retention, upsell/cross-sell and new sales targets through the creation and execution of the segment's business and commercial strategies. To do so, the successful candidate will manage Small Law Firm retention, pricing, and channel enablement teams, while working in close partnership with the SLF digital team, sales channels, marketing, among others.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Achieve Small Law retention, upsell/cross-sell, and new sales targets

  • Lead commercial design for all channels (price, product, message), including digital

  • Drive a consistent E2E customer touchpoint model for Small Law 1-10 firms, continually acting upon improvement opportunities

  • Shape and guide sales pilots and customer betas

  • Develop pricing strategies and manage pricing exceptions, driving rigor and consistency

  • Develop commercial and customer programs, along with promotional treatments, to stimulate sales and manage renewals / retention

  • Demonstrate agility by using customer and financial insights to act on risk / opportunity indicators

  • Develop and drive a performance culture across the team

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of strategic marketing, product management or similar experience

  • 5+ years of pricing and/or retention experience

  • Conscientious in the formulation of early warning / opportunity indicators, addressing business risk and opportunity in a proactive, agile way

  • Proven ability to drive multiple complex initiatives simultaneously

  • Evidence of ability to influence in a matrixed environment

  • Outstanding verbal and written presentation skills

  • MBA preferred

  • Location: Minneapolis / St. Paul

VIEW JOBS 3/18/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-16T00:00 Job Description Your Impact at Thomson Reuters Small Law Pricing is charged with owning and enhancing the exceptions process for small law customers to drive growth and improve customer retention. The Senior Analyst, Commercial Policy and Pricing will provide expertise in all aspects of the exceptions process including: request processing, reporting around key performance indicators, policy recommendations and process enhancements as applicable. This position will also assist with other key analyses supporting SLF pricing, and will work cross-functionally to implement approved recommendations. Job Requirements * Assist in supporting the long term SLF pricing vision by developing and supporting key pricing related strategies and methodologies related to exceptions and pricing policy * Process FindLaw order exceptions on a daily basis consistent with segment business objectives, supporting field and inside channel teams * Analyze request and determine financial and customer impact; make appropriate decision * Work with cross-functional partners to gain additional input where necessary * Develop effective partnerships and work closely with Sales, Finance, Order Fulfillment, Ops., Order Capture Team, and Legal on policy enforcement and enhancement opportunities * Work with Manager to create a plan to reduce FindLaw exceptions volume and processing time while giving clear line of sight to Sales and Account Management stakeholders regarding associated recommendations * Analyze, synthesize and prepare data to provide insightful recommendations appropriate for review by senior level management * Assist with review of non-compliant FindLaw orders and audits as required * Identify and implement opportunities aligning the FindLaw and core SLF exceptions processes * Provide backup support for core SLF exceptions (as needed basis) * Other analytical work as assigned Experience * 5+ years experience with increasing responsibility in detailed analytical work, preferably in the area of pricing or other customer-oriented metrics * Demonstrated ability to make decisions in a fast-paced and time sensitive environment * Ability to construct and perform segmentation analysis and reporting, including data sourcing and data mining leading to key insight development * Demonstrated success partnering cross-functionally with individuals and teams Knowledge/Skills * Understanding of core marketing and financial principles underlying the price/value relationship * Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong financial acumen * Ability to manage multiple action items and work cross-functionally with relevant stakeholders to gain agreement on exceptions to standard business and ordering policy * Ability to relate to all levels of management across Marketing, Sales and Finance * High energy and 'can-do' attitude with ability to meet tight deadlines * Comfortable working individually and in a team environment with changing priorities and time pressures * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Access, PowerPoint Education * Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, finance or economics required * MBA preferred * Statistical background a plus At Thomson Reuters, we believe what we do matters.
