SENIOR DIRECTOR PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

We are searching for a Senior Director Program Management to join our dynamic team at our Maritime Power Systems - Anaheim, CA location.
This role provides overall direction and management to development and production, as well as internal company programs. As such, this position is a member of the business's senior leadership team and is responsible for maintaining the continuity of Program Management, Planning and Customer Relations to continue business growth with existing customers. Additional responsibilities include maintaining strong earned value, cost, and schedule performance. The ideal candidate will lead the performance and development of a team of Junior and Senior level Program Managers to execute these responsibilities.
Able to simultaneously manage interdependent programs and interface with customers (internal and external) effectively.
Manages and directs all phases of programs from inception to completion.
Demonstrate program and business finance competence.
Works with engineering & business development on proposals and negotiations.
Establishes and monitors the program plan (e.g., budgets, schedules and reporting).
Oversees the development of design concepts and test criteria.
Directs the integration of the program team, which may include: Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Finance, and Administrative areas.
Establishes and maintains contacts to ensure conformance to requirements.
Directs administration of contracts & communicates with the customer.
Responsible for program P&L including but not limited to: Budgets; Actual Costs; Estimates to Complete; Invoicing; and Receivables.
Supervises associates working within engineering, manufacturing, contracts, procurement, quality, and other departments assigned to designated programs. Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include coaching and mentoring; interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
BS or BA required. BSEE, or related engineering or technical degree preferred. MBA preferred.
Minimum ten (10) years of leadership managing complex, multi-million dollar programs required.
Exceptional program management skills required: demonstrated verbal, written and presentation capabilities; sound reasoning and decision-making ability; and strong analytical problem solving ability.
Must be able to effectively interface with engineering, manufacturing, contract, procurement, quality, administrative and management personnel. Inclusive management style: able to lead and motivate team members and be comfortable with raising issues in a timely manner.
Demonstrated Strategic Leadership in Earned Value Management, tracking performance metrics, and performance-to-plan schedule management are preferred.
PMP certification preferred.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
