Position Summary

In this highly critical role, we are looking for someone with in-depth experience in Procurement leadership to drive major change management initiatives throughout the CBI $6B source-to-pay value chain, having a forward-looking view to invest and utilize technology and digitization, as well as the continuous improvement mindset to engage with our key stakeholders throughout the organization. The three major scopes under the remit of COE will be mainly: Category Strategy and Sourcing best practices, Supplier Management and Technology & Digital Readiness.

This role will report directly to the VP of Indirect Procurement and Center of Excellence. This role will also be a part of the CPO's Procurement Leadership Team. Domestic and international travel required, up to 25% annually on an ad hoc basis. The preferred location will be Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

  • As a member of the Procurement Leadership Team, assess needs for all Procurement Category data, process, tools, and technology needs and set multi-year category strategy and priorities.

  • Lead the Procurement COE Team (12 FTEs), fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence, with the overall accountability for the success of the team.

  • Supports the talent development of team members and the overall development of cross-functional teams by identifying gaps to capabilities and developing training programs to solve.

  • Responsible for all Procurement Technologies (Ariba Sourcing, Supplier IO, Graphite Risk Management, Power BI Reporting, etc.), compliance and risk, process improvement, automation of manual tasks, supplier relationship management, and training and development, etc. for the over 150 people in Procurement and Logistics in Beer/ W&S.

  • Oversee the procurement process and develop policies, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Implement and monitor key procurement performance metrics to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Serve as a highly influential leader & change agent to the broad stakeholder community as it relates to the sourcing and contract execution process.

  • Plans, develops and implements business plans and budgets, including long-range objectives, performance goals and metrics for each category.

  • Manages over $6B in procurement spend across all divisions.

  • Engage with executive-level stakeholders across the organization and ensure team efforts are meeting stakeholder needs.

  • Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices and incorporate these insights into procurement strategies.

  • Leads team that manages all new supplier qualifications and sources suppliers for innovation.

  • Leads team managing supplier diversity efforts for all of CBI and procurement sustainability programs.

  • Manage Procurement Team involvement in our Digital Business Acceleration transformation project.

  • Ensure consistent reporting and KPI's are in place to enable the success of the Procurement teams and overall OneProcurement Organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement/ sourcing, with at least 10 years in a leadership role. Documented category strategy development and implementation.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business-related degree programs

  • Strong working knowledge of and the ability to effectively leverage technology (E.g., ERP systems, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, etc.

  • Proven track record of managing a high-performing procurement team.

  • 7+ years of Procurement technology-related experience

  • 3+ years of change management experience, especially cross-functional and high-profile stakeholder management.

  • Developed communication skills and system thinking, and able to navigate and influence various levels of the organization.

  • Excellent understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems.

  • Experience in CPG or food & beverage industry.

  • Bilingual in both English and Spanish speaking preferred.

Physical Requirements/Other

  • Must be able sit and/or stand for extended periods, and work on a computer for extended periods.

  • Primary work environment is within a corporate office setting.

  • Ability to travel commercially ~25%.

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.

The salary range for this role is:

$151,000.00 - $246,300.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
