Summary of Role

SunPower Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Order to Cash/Sales Operations to organize and oversee the operations activities of our North American installing and non-installing partners. This position reports to the Vice President of North America Residential Operations and Customer Care.

As Sr. Director Order to Cash/Sales Operations, you will have the exciting opportunity to help develop our long-term channel strategy, build mind share and increase our partner's adoption of SunPower's best practices thus providing our end customers with great customer experience.

This role is responsible for overseeing and managing all back-office operations, including partner compliance, customer contract verification, order management, partner installation verification and payment, customer install project coordination and partner operations coordination. With the overarching responsibility of delivery, revenue attainment, cost control and customer satisfaction, the ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan many kinds of operational activities. He/She must be an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient ways to run the business. Through the lens of "Customer First" you are responsible for managing defined operations, identifying gaps and tools for the North America Residential business unit to operate effectively and efficiently. Define best in class processes by creating 'use case' to depict the process steps and user requirements for digital team to develop the tools needed to meet business objectives, drive process improvements, reduce cost and project cycle time.

Essentional Duties and

include the following (other duties may be assigned)
  • Develops organization

  • Define departmental objectives and metrics and ensures progress is being made to achieve them

  • Hiring, management, and career development of key staff

  • Departmental budget creation, tracking, and management

  • Personnel performance reviews and discipline

  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to deliver short and long term corporate goals and objectives and the desired organizational behavior

  • Revenue Management for lease, loan and cash products

  • Oversee day to day order execution and customer interfaces

  • Ensure orders are processed according to departmental policies and service level agreements

  • Manage lease and loan active jobs by dealer from contract signature to place in service to ensure business unit revenue targets are met

  • Financial Products revenue recognition forecasting and risk reporting

  • Manage financier deadlines, process cancellations and amendments when necessary to minimize exposure and maximize fund utilization

  • Continuously identify opportunities to accelerate cash receipts from all financial products

  • Maintain operating controls and partner compliance

  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of current policies and procedures and maintain strong internal controls and compliance

  • Ensure partner compliance monitor partner license and insurance expirations

  • Escalation of dealer non-compliance (cycle time, adherence to DPA T&Cs)

  • Work with Partners to help correct Underperforming system

  • Cost optimization and revenue/margin leakage elimination

  • Manage and drive efficiencies throughout the order to cash business process, including working with our digital team to create a world-class ordering experience for our partners

  • Translate strategic priorities into tactical execution - seeing initiatives through to impact

  • Utilize statistics and Pareto to identify issues, improvement opportunities, and action plan to resolve and improve operational efficiencies and financial results

  • Partner onboarding, training and support on SunPower order to cash tools, reports and processes

  • Partner Order Management: Manages partner orders including order entry and confirmation, managing order changes and holds, shipments, invoicing and invoice adjustment and returns, warranty registration

  • Partner Services Payment

  • Ensure partner fulfillment of install requirements

  • Project Coordination from contract validation to commissioning for all non-installing partners

  • Keep all parts of the install process organized and running according to plan including communicating between the customer and various internal teams (field operations, sales partners, finance operations) setting dates for tasks in order to drive project progress and cycle time reduction

  • Meet customer expectations by anticipating customer needs and resolving problems in conjunction with managers of field operations, customer service and sales

  • Utilize Residential Project management tool to manage project workflow, meeting incentive application and collection process and timeline, and proactively manage projects at risk of cancellation

Related Experience and Educational Requirements

  • Minimum requirements

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in business management, operations, engineering.

  • Experience in ERP order management systems.

  • Ten or more years' experience managing order management and scheduling

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) is required

  • Advanced reporting and analytic experience, including extensive experience summarizing detailed data into actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Proven ability to work as a project team leader and innovator a must.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, oral communication, written communication and presentation skills.

  • Influential, self-starting, persuasive, and driven.

  • Proven ability in meeting business and organizational objectives.

  • Excellent leadership and managerial

    Communication, Managing people, Decision Making, Negotiation, Project Management, Problem Solving, Collaborative and possesses an Entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Must have the passion for quality, continuous improvement, excellence and innovation

  • Knowledge and exposure to SOX, ISO and lean

  • Preferred requirements

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a MBA degree program or equivalent degree.

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and Oracle

  • 5+ years in an order management or operations organization, 10+ years total experience.

  • Experience in sales operations

  • Experience with working with teams in Asia

  • 25% of travel required
