Senior Director Of Software Engineering

The Senior Director of Software Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the software engineering department, ensuring the design, development, and implementation of our software solutions align with our business goals. This role requires a strategic leader who can collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineering talent, and drive the development of high-quality, scalable products.

Additional Job Duties and Requirements:

• Lead and manage the software engineering department, including setting the vision, planning, execution, and delivery of software projects.

• Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the company's objectives and market needs.

• Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

• Collaborate with IT leadership, IT PMO, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.

• Mentor and develop a high-performing engineering team, providing guidance and leadership to senior engineers and managers.

• Oversee the architectural decisions and ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our software solutions.

• Manage the engineering budget, resource allocation, and prioritization of projects.

• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive technological advancements and competitive edge.

• Drive the adoption of software engineering best practices across the organization, including agile development, CI/CD, and DevOps principles.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and the wider technology community.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in IT with 5+ years of experience in a leadership role. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced high demand environment.
