A career in Information Security, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to develop and support our internal security technologies and services across the entire global and local PwC network. You'll focus on being the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing information technology including hardware, software, and networks that enhances security of internal information and protect our firms intellectual assets.

Responsibilities

As a Director, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively lead the practise by setting strategy, drive the development of new business in the market, and provide technical advice across disciplines

  • Building strong networks within the firm to spot and capitalise on opportunities to get involved in projects that others are leading across a number of different business units and sectors

  • Identifying and discussing key issues with our clients to identify potential opportunities

  • Responsibility for a majority of day to day client communications

  • Responsibility to shape and deliver various projects that exceed the expectations of our clients and our own assignment quality criteria

  • Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team

  • Responsibility for management of engagement financials

  • Helping to grow and develop our team through hands on training and coaching

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:

  • Leading service adoption and operations teams to guarantee that security technology solutions are ready for global use;

  • Managing project and related functions, and of NIS in general, that is applied to integrate and drive the execution of strategic priorities;

  • Establishing thought leadership at the NIS and firm-wide level in the project management area;

  • Establishing and leading the NIS business strategy and plan;

  • Influencing others through leadership interactions with external clients, within NIS, across functions, and with Internal firm services leadership;

  • Establishing the strategic direction for Security Transformation and leading teams to execute against the strategy;

  • Building and maintaining relationships across the network of firms to effectively deliver Security Transformation activities on behalf of NIS;

  • Understanding security technology at an enterprise and solution level; and,

  • Executing tasks aligned to Security Transformation with autonomy.

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities as a team leader, emphasizing the following areas:

  • Engaging business and technology stakeholders at all levels to gather long term goals and requirements;

  • Mapping long term business requirements to complex security architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, SABSA, Zachman etc.;

  • Designing and building security technology solutions aligned to a global central service environment;

  • Working in security engineering with enterprise security technology;

  • Working to transition technology from a local focus to a central technology service organization;

  • Working in a complex, matrix organization; and,

  • Working with multiple stakeholders across functional and technical skill sets.

POSITION The Senior Director of School Partnerships leads our organization's efforts to create the strategy, partnerships, and innovations necessary for comprehensively helping high-risk schools succeed in reducing education disparities based on race, ethnicity, gender, and income. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * In collaboration with district and school partners, develop, implement, and support projects and partnerships related to successful school systems * Build trusting relationships with district leadership, principals, cross-sector leaders, and community stakeholders * Convene and facilitate collaborative working groups focused on school success * Provide facilitation, strategic thinking, and project management to the activities of partnership groups * Plan for how to spread and scale promising practices * Manage group logistics, data, processes, and collateral * Engage in rigorous continuous improvement processes * With support from data team, equip partnerships with the data and analytics to know where and how to invest their time, effort, and financial resources * Plan, execute, and monitor effectiveness of our work with partners * Be accountable for results and foster the sense of accountability for results in partners * Work with partners to develop a set of performance measures * Provide coaching for partners conducting improvement cycles * Establish personal and group norms that allow partners to feel highly accountable * Oversee school director team's data collection and reporting on measures of school success * Collaborate with the school team and with the data team to develop and implement data collection processes * Create dashboards and standard reports for team and for leadership to monitor for school risk factors * Use data insights to adaptively elevate concerns about schools to relevant partners * Responsible for tracking and understanding education-related policies and practices * Determine how current education-related policies influence systemic practices * Stay on top of research related to evidence-based educational practices * Help team understand the implications of educational policy and practice change * Participate on the department leadership team * Provide leadership, mentorship, and support for external partners and staff * Align work across roles, set department strategy, and execute on that strategy * Provide content to marketing and resource development teams to broaden awareness of our work and increase potential funding opportunities * Support our partnership's leadership body, the Promise Partnership Regional Council * Collaborate with council members to advocate for necessary systems change * Prepare materials, talking points, and presentations for bi-monthly meetings ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES * Knowledge of educational systems, policies, and practices * Ability to convene a group of partners from different agencies and inspire them to engage in systematic cycles of analysis and action that improve outcomes for students and families * Ability to hold honest conversations that lead to shared goals and aligned actions * Foster trust and open communication with diverse partners * Recognize and address conflict and concerns; proactively and creatively problem solve * Help draw connections and alignment between ideas, programs, initiatives, and partners * Interact comfortably with many stakeholders * Synthesize information and simplify complexity * Locate, disaggregate, and use data to forecast, structure conversations, and make decisions * Address disparities related to race, ethnicity, income, and other factors * Confidence and humility to ask questions, admit and address challenges, and "fail forward" MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * 3-4 years of directly applicable experience * 2-3 years supervisory experience * 1-2 years working with data and running reports and queries in databases * Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent work experience) in education, public health, communication, sociology, or related field * Proficient with Microsoft and Google suites PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The employee is regularly required to communicate clearly, in oral and written formats, with others in person, over the phone, and via other devices.
