A career in Information Security, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to develop and support our internal security technologies and services across the entire global and local PwC network. You'll focus on being the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing information technology including hardware, software, and networks that enhances security of internal information and protect our firms intellectual assets.

Responsibilities

As a Director, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively lead the practise by setting strategy, drive the development of new business in the market, and provide technical advice across disciplines

  • Building strong networks within the firm to spot and capitalise on opportunities to get involved in projects that others are leading across a number of different business units and sectors

  • Identifying and discussing key issues with our clients to identify potential opportunities

  • Responsibility for a majority of day to day client communications

  • Responsibility to shape and deliver various projects that exceed the expectations of our clients and our own assignment quality criteria

  • Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team

  • Responsibility for management of engagement financials

  • Helping to grow and develop our team through hands on training and coaching

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:

  • Leading service adoption and operations teams to guarantee that security technology solutions are ready for global use;

  • Managing project and related functions, and of NIS in general, that is applied to integrate and drive the execution of strategic priorities;

  • Establishing thought leadership at the NIS and firm-wide level in the project management area;

  • Establishing and leading the NIS business strategy and plan;

  • Influencing others through leadership interactions with external clients, within NIS, across functions, and with Internal firm services leadership;

  • Establishing the strategic direction for Security Transformation and leading teams to execute against the strategy;

  • Building and maintaining relationships across the network of firms to effectively deliver Security Transformation activities on behalf of NIS;

  • Understanding security technology at an enterprise and solution level; and,

  • Executing tasks aligned to Security Transformation with autonomy.

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities as a team leader, emphasizing the following areas:

  • Engaging business and technology stakeholders at all levels to gather long term goals and requirements;

  • Mapping long term business requirements to complex security architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, SABSA, Zachman etc.;

  • Designing and building security technology solutions aligned to a global central service environment;

  • Working in security engineering with enterprise security technology;

  • Working to transition technology from a local focus to a central technology service organization;

  • Working in a complex, matrix organization; and,

  • Working with multiple stakeholders across functional and technical skill sets.

VIEW JOBS 4/17/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-16T00:00 Primary Purpose: This position is responsible for managing Southwest Generations interest in assets, programs and special projects as assigned by the Senior Vice President of Operations and Asset Management. This position will have a key role in improving the identification, planning and implementation of projects to enhance asset value. The position will be responsible for origination functions for assets that that either have an open position or are coming off a long-term power purchase agreement. To ensure the success of various Southwest Generation programs, this role will actively participate in the reliability, operating performance and cost effectiveness of plant systems and equipment. Duties and Responsibilities: * Identify and implement process improvements and incorporate asset management principles into Southwest Generations long-term operating plan. * Lead re-contracting efforts to maximize value. * Evaluate vendor performance. * Work directly with Plant Managers and plant personnel to drive and coordinate continual improvement (efficiencies). * Develop and propose cost reduction and efficiency producing solutions. * Identify opportunities where expenses could be reduced without compromising safety or quality of operations. * Generate ideas for efficiencies and develop a plan to implement those efficiencies. * Present plans and recommendations to the Southwest Generation Senior management. * Develop a cost/benefit analysis for all plant capital and facility proposals for improved efficiencies. Participate in the implementation of the plan. * Work closely with stakeholders at the plants as reviews and recommendations arise. * Actively participate in the safety, reliability, operating performance and cost effectiveness of plant systems and equipment to ensure the success of various programs. * Develop tools that will be able to demonstrate reliability and performance gains for various levels of investment that can show risk reduction across various equipment and show trends over time with investment. * Develop and trend operating, maintenance, and investment measures and integrate with asset strategies in conjunction with best practices to take a proactive approach in determining the right work to be done, on the right asset, at the right time, with the right risk tolerance to determine the best course of action between repair, refurbish, replace, retire, or run-to-failure. * Manage 3rd party marketers for periods of merchant operations. * Support corporate merger & acquisition or facility sale activities that meet strategic growth plan for Southwest Generation. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Strong commercial judgement. * Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others. Education and Experience: * Degree in business, engineering or related discipline preferred, or 10+ years of experience with natural gas-fired power generation assets. * Experience with business related requirements such as a cost/benefit analysis, accounting methods and budgeting preferred. * Project management experience preferred. * Experience with merchant gas and electric trading markets preferred.
