We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Director of Product Management for Financial Services Marketing who will oversee solutions for financial service clients. You will help develop and drive financial services product strategies based on a solid understanding of this vertical business and their market problems. You'll, in part, also look after ways to grow and expand Experian's Ascend Marketing and Ascend Data Services Marketing capabilities but the role is focused on solving market problems with compelling products. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, planning, and driving product strategies based on a strong understanding of market expertise.
What you'll do:
Develop and drive financial services marketing product strategies based on a solid understanding of business and market problems.
Coach and support a high performing team of product managers and product owners to operate with strong client and market focus.
Generate a vision of product opportunities that solve client problems in the financial services space, and work alongside our product team to prioritize work against our backlog though clear understanding of business value, strategic fit and market demand.
Demonstrate strong thought leadership in cloud-based, customer centric and marketing driven solutions which include data, software, and tools.
Create well defined product planning and roadmap processes geared toward the financial services space.
Work alongside Sales and Product Marketing to evangelize our products to financial service clients, the problems they solve and the value they generate in this space. Facilitate positioning and selling in this vertical space.
Collaborate with sales and solutions group for continuous enhancement of financial services marketing products by regularly seeking voice of client and voice of sales.
Work cross-functionally with various Experian business units and product management teams to ensure products are positioned in alignment with other Experian capabilities.
Engage with multiple functional areas including our Solutions Group, Engineering, Analytics and our delivery teams to communicate, define, and prioritize our tactical and strategic roadmaps.
Demonstrate strong leadership and communication traits, and the ability to influence outcomes.
Collaborate with the rest of our Product Team to create and deliver value-based initiatives and features on roadmap
Utilize innovation methodologies to build, measure and learn as we develop new solutions for the marketplace
Monitor, track and forecast product-specific revenue and evaluate P&L's as appropriate.
10+ years of experience in Product Management and Innovation for B2B (business to business) or B2C (business to consumer) products or companies
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
5+ years of experience as a people leader
Thorough knowledge of Financial Services and Marketing industries, focusing on how clients are utilizing big data platforms to transform their approach to market to consumers.
Financial Institution and Marketing data background is required
Proven track record of driving product innovation and bringing new products to market leveraging innovation frameworks and Agile methodology.
Knowledge of how clients develop and implement credit and marketing models and distribute audience campaigns in offline and digital space.
Excellent decision-making, presentation skills and strong influencing skills to be able to interface and articulate our products capabilities to our clients, leadership, and internal stakeholders
A good understanding of the adverting and marketing technology space as well as how data and analytics can optimize client outcomes
Understanding of the programmatic advertising space including consumer platforms, advanced tv is a plus
Ability to have robust conversations to justify your prioritization of the backlog across the stakeholder group
Must remain flexible and be comfortable with ambiguity within a very demanding, constantly changing environment
Ability to work well in and successfully navigate a matrix environment
