Anaplan is looking for a passionate, Senior Director of Product Management based in our fast-growing San Francisco, CA office. The Senior Director of Product Management will own and drive our platform services strategy including APIs, data services, AI/ML services and customer/partner integrations. He/she will be accountable for facilitating continuous improvements within the product organization and impacting cross-functionally across engineering, customer success and field/sales organizations. The Sr. Director will drive the agenda for this critical pillar of our platform by synthesizing revenue, cost, technical and strategic concerns into a prioritized set of platform capabilities and roadmap aligned with the company's vision while also ensuring the roadmap is executed effectively and efficiently.

What you'll be doing:
Defining overall platform services and API strategy working with Product Management and Engineering Leadership, Product Marketing, and other cross-functional stakeholders in the organization.
Maintain a deep understanding of the technical objectives of the Engineering organization, such that proposed improvements promote and extend increasing output, and drive forward the technology roadmap.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to make certain product changes are marketed, appropriate training courses and collateral are created, to provide sales and marketing teams insight to position product offerings with customers and prospects.
Meet regularly with the heads of Professional Services and Customer Support or their representatives to understand our customers' "Time to Value" and "Total Cost of Ownership" concerns and factor their challenges and opportunities into the Product Management calculus. Make tactical moves to maximize customers' return on investment and enable sales expansion opportunities
Set and maintain the structure of the Product Management team, and recommend appropriate staffing levels for delivery of work
Day-to-day team management, including: work allocation, goal-setting, performance management, identifying career development opportunities, leave approvals, etc
Provide hands-on mentoring and training for team members in process engineering best practice
Use 'Agile' methodology to continuously improve every aspect of our product development process
Maintain up to date knowledge of the technology trends in the industry as well as competitor products
Recruit, retain, and promote talent initiatives for the Product Management Organization.
More about you:
Seven or more years managing products or services in cloud platforms and/or SaaS at scale (including P&L leadership and/or product management leadership of large product portfolios)
Minimum of 3 years' experience working directly with senior leadership within the company and with customer/partner organizations
Extensive experience defining and driving platform-based products, services or solutions. Strong track record of incubating/building API platform strategies, driving platform execution with engineering and creating partner eco-systems to build API based solutions/services
Experience with defining and driving AI/ML platform capabilities or applied AI/ML solutions for real-time decision making.
Proven track record in influencing large, cross-functional engineering, UX and Data Science teams to build scalable products and deliver business results.
Experience with Robotic Process Automation technologies and solutions is desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence and build consensus across a broad range of backgrounds, organizational levels and personalities
Expert-level product development process knowledge, with technical depth, prioritization, procedural, commercial and managerial aspects of product management
Experience working with global, distributed, multi-cultural teams is a plus.
