Job Overview
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. Shriners Children's Lexington, part of an international pediatric health care system of hospitals, clinics, ambulatory surgery centers and global outreach, is looking for a strong candidate to lead the philanthropic efforts of their medical center. Responsibilities
Implementing a comprehensive strategic plan for all fundraising activities from major gifts to annual fund and events for our Lexington location, working closely with the Medical Center Administrator and reporting to the Executive Director of Location Philanthropy.
Maintaining a robust portfolio with six- and seven-figure donors and prospects in pursuit of impactful fundraising targets
Working in collaboration with Shriners Children's Headquarters staff, Lexington's administration, its Board of Governors, and its Corporate Council to advance the philanthropy office, grow donor engagement, acquisition and stewardship, and support the overall philanthropic success.
Qualifications
Experience:
7 years of progressively responsible fundraising experience required
5 years of experience working with major giving and planned giving programs required
Experience closing major and planned gifts from individuals, required
Working knowledge of all planned giving vehicles, including prior experience with Charitable Gift Annuities required
Personnel management experience required
Demonstrable track record of fundraising accomplishments, including experience in building a major gifts program into a core component of philanthropic activity, required
Experience in healthcare philanthropy preferred
