Overview
The Senior Director of Finance is responsible for the day-to-day operations of financial and accounting functions, including the oversight and development of finance and accounting, IT, legal and purchasing team members. This leader will function as a business partner across the organization, supporting the company's plans to achieve its performance and strategic goals, while ensuring that critical deadlines are met across a variety of stakeholder needs. The Senior Director of Finance will play a pivotal role in improving processes and implementing technology to capture efficiency gains in major processes and maximize team members' time focused on creating additional value for the organization.
A successful candidate for this role will enjoy being creative and highly collaborative in an environment that is fast paced and dynamic. Additionally, the role will require the ability to dig into the details while also being thoughtful about the big picture. The ability to successfully manage many and sometimes competing priorities while developing strong relationships with stakeholders is critical.
The role is expected to be at Suncadia for three days per week on average with the remaining time flexible to be remote or on-site based on individual preference and work style. Relocation assistance available for the right candidate who is interested in relocating to the local area.
Annual Salary Range: $175,000.00 - $200,000.00

Responsibilities
Ensure financial statements are prepared timely, accurately and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Provide oversight to audit and tax workflows; confirm that team is managing to critical deadlines
Execute annual budget process, in partnership with business unit leadership and finance and accounting team members
Manage debt and treasury functions
Seek out opportunities to improve effectiveness of financial reporting deliverables, with a specific focus on the organization's use of KPIs
Identify areas within the company that would benefit from predictive analytics, new reporting approaches, and real-time data exposure
Manage ownership reporting requirements; develop and maintain relationships with ownership financial representatives to provide outstanding support for inquiries and other ad hoc requests as they arise
Provide guidance and regular feedback to Director of IT; work collaboratively to identify ways in which IT can drive efficiency or improve customer experiences
Develop a culture that recognizes the importance of quality information and the value it drives across the organization; work to continuously improve the department's level of operational excellence
Promote a single-team mentality that encourages ownership and collaboration above organization or job defined boundaries
Develop healthy talent pipelines to support future needs, focused on both internal development and external talent pools
Design and drive implementation of process and technology enhancements, with a focus on reducing time spent on tasks that could be automated or eliminated
Encourage an environment of curiosity, learning and growth. Seek to discover new ways in which the department can drive healthy earnings improvements and efficiencies across the organization
Qualifications
12-15 years of progressive experience, including team leadership
Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA a strong preference
Experience in hospitality a strong preference, with real estate development experience a plus
Storytelling - you know how to make numbers and analysis come alive to a variety of audiences in a compelling and effective manner
Experience in implementing new technology, changing processes and training team members to fully utilize those improvements
Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills. Proficiency in advanced Excel and financial modeling
A natural curiosity to understand the "why" behind decisions and processes with a drive to discover new ways to create value or reduce waste within an organization
Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of flexibility and accountability, in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to influence and drive leadership to decisions and tangible outcomes
Success leading teams remotely and in-person
Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and verbal
