Senior Director Of Finance And Accounting

Duties:

• Oversee the finance and accounting departments, ensuring smooth daily operations and accurate financial reporting, with an emphasis on the specific financial dynamics of the semiconductor industry.

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's long-term business goals.

• Monitor the organization's financial budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes.

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, industry regulations, internal controls, and contractual agreements, with a keen awareness of the regulatory challenges and contract compliance specifics to the semiconductor industry.

• Monitor preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, and reports required by regulatory agencies.

• Monitor the financial performance of the company, identifying trends, and addressing discrepancies or areas of concern.

• Analyze complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations to the Business Unit Executive and other key stakeholders.

• Monitor the audit process with external auditors, ensuring all financial and accounting records are thoroughly maintained and audit requirements are met.

• Provide leadership, direction, and management to finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

• Evaluate and optimize accounting and financial systems, processes, and software to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.

• Mentor and develop the finance and accounting team, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic.

• Analyze and negotiate financing and investment opportunities to support the company's growth and success.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred

• Professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is a plus

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior finance or accounting role within a mid to large-sized organization, preferably in the semiconductor or defense industries

• Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting principles, and financial reporting

• Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards and regulations

• Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting

• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing finance and accounting teams, with the capacity to instill best practices relevant to the semiconductor industry's fast-paced environment

• Proficiency with finance software and advanced Excel skills; experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP systems is a plus

• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders

• Executive experience providing leadership across functional groups such as business development, engineering, human resources and operations

• Experience with corporate governance, risk management, and compliance (including SOX)

• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work

• Willingness to continuously improve and keep up with industry trends and best practices
