The Senior Director of Facilities to oversee all aspects of facilities management, including new construction, remodels, security, disaster recovery, and business continuity. They work cross functionally with other organizational leaders to plan, direct, and control all financial and administrative operations that align with credit union initiatives.

What you will do here:

Facilities Management:

Oversee the maintenance, operations, and improvements of all credit union facilities, including branches and the corporate home office, ensuring a safe, secure, and pleasant environment for employees and members.

Collaborate with key stakeholders in the ongoing evaluation of all assigned facilities to identify and prioritize short-term and long-term needs, create, and maintain a project roadmap, and ensure the appropriate allocation of resources, in alignment with business priorities.

Partner with key stakeholders to establish facilities guidelines and best practices and define KPIs to drive performance.

Construction and Remodels:

Lead new construction projects and manage remodels of existing facilities, from initial planning through completion.

Plan and oversee the execution of all facilities-related activities, including moves, renovations, and maintenance, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.

Ensure projects meet all requirements, specifications, and standards.

Budget Management:

Develop and manage annual budgets for facilities operations, construction projects, and remodels to include budget preparation, oversight, and reporting.

Monitor expenses closely to ensure projects are completed within budget.

Vendor and Contract Management:

Oversee the selection and management of vendors, contractors, and service providers; negotiate contracts, review performance, and manage relationships to ensure maintenance, repairs, and service needs are met, according to established agreements and standards

Timeline Management:

Develop and oversee timelines for all facilities projects, ensuring milestones are met and projects are completed on schedule.

Quality Control:

Implement quality control measures to ensure that all facilities management activities, construction, and remodels meet or exceed industry standards and comply with all regulations.

Security:

Oversee physical security measures across all locations, including access controls, surveillance systems, and emergency response protocols.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

Develop, implement, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Ensure all facilities are prepared for emergencies and can quickly return to normal operations.

Compliance and Audits:

Manage all facilities-related audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Address any findings promptly and thoroughly.

Leadership:

Provide motivating and inspiring leadership to direct reports and their teams, driving the delivery of high-quality service and performance, and supporting employee growth and professional development.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

What you will need:

Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field required.

Masters degree in Business or related field preferred.

8+ years of experience in facilities management, with a proven track record of managing multiple sites, preferably in the financial services industry required.

5+ years of experience in physical security, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning required.

5+ years of progressive leadership experience required.

Demonstrated experience overseeing construction projects and remodels, from planning through execution required.

Demonstrated understanding of building codes, safety regulations, permits, ADA, sustainability/energy management, and other related compliance requirements required.

Strong budget management skills, with experience in developing and adhering to budgets required.

Excellent vendor and contract management abilities required.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication skills required.

Strong ability to analyze data and presents trends, improvement opportunities and member satisfaction required.

Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards required.

Strong leadership and team management skills required.

Strong space planning and utilization skills required.

Demonstrated understanding of architectural schematics and drawings required.

Exceptional organization and project management skills required.

Demonstrated competency in MS Office Suite required.

Competency in AutoCAD preferred.

Conversational Spanish preferred.

LEED-GA preferred.

CFM - Certified Facility Manager (Or CPM - Certified Property Manager or PRA Real Property Administrator) preferred.

AZ Drivers License required.
