Your Impact:

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Single-Family Acquisitions division management to effectively manage Model risk. Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing the risk management policies, strategies and operational procedures to identify the firm's models and to manage the firm's model risk

  • Ensure model uses and interdependencies in capital markets, credit risk management and finance processes are identified, understood and the resulting risks are managed and reported to senior management

  • Proactively work with model owners to address findings and resolve issues

  • Present concise risk assessments that inform executive decisions on model change prioritization and approvals of complex new/changed model and model applications

  • Manage the on-going interaction with internal/external auditors, regulators, and SOX oversight personnel on model risk

  • Establish operational objectives and work plans, and delegate assignments to subordinate managers

  • Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect

  • Work on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives

  • Implement strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

  • Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements

  • Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers

  • Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to relationship.

  • Support reporting activities for management committee meetings

  • Build a high performing, result oriented team

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years relevant experience, including experience as product owner; +8 management experience.

  • Experience in reporting activities - running queries, management reports

  • Solid understanding and experience with risk management and controls

  • Ability to work with technical development teams

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $229,000 - $343,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
