About this role

We wish to appoint a Senior Director, Marketing Analytics, based in San Diego, this position is responsible for the development of actionable multi-channel strategies that align with client goals, as well as working with the Client Engagement team on the development of marketing and analytic strategies and tactical plans.The Senior Director, Marketing Analytics will work with teams and clients across the US offices, so some travel in the US region may be required.

Purpose of the role

The Senior Director, Marketing Analytics will deliver best in class strategy and analytics programs to our clients. This role will lead collaboration between Account teams and the Client Engagement team to help sell through and execute on strategic visions and campaigns to clients; oversee development of strategic project briefs and ensure the formulation and execution of a digital strategy / solution. You will also manage and work with Analytics team members to develop measures of performance across marketing strategies analyzing activity across online channels.

Key responsibilities

  • Engages in and ensures a strategic relationship with the client, providing insight and partnership across all aspects of the marketing and communications spectrum, but specifically in Analytics

  • Responsible for ensuring excellent client communication at all levels; defining KPIs, deadlines and service agreements

  • Delivers an added-value consultancy and works closely with clients to deliver campaigns, services and products across all communications channels

  • Takes an active role in the new business process, key decisions and plays a crucial role in selling LEWIS credentials throughout the tender process

  • Develops and executes Marketing, Content and User Experience / Persona strategies

  • Works with cross-functional internal teams to identify and develop solutions that meet client needs

  • Analyzes performance data and provides intelligent insights / recommendations and appropriate action plans based on conclusions

  • Designs and develops methods for data preparation and validation to automate reports and analytical deliverables

  • Develops and conducts secondary research including but not limited to: industry trends, audience needs, audience behavior, competitive assessment, marketing / content audits, digital audits and assessments

  • Researches, gathers and evaluates qualitative, quantitative, and competitive data to identity and validate opportunities and deliver insights in a compelling yet digestible way

  • Develops and architects cross channel solutions including but not limited to; Social Media, SEO, Paid Media, PR, UI / UX, Design, Analytics

  • Implements and uses Google Tag Manager and other tagging strategies

  • Develops dashboards / reports for clients, utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs) based on business goals and objectives

  • Acts as leader in guiding colleagues on how to best manage campaigns and projects

  • Acts as a respected line manager, working closely with line reports to maximize strengths, improve weaknesses and support career development and appraisal processes

  • Sets strategic team objectives on a weekly, quarterly, and annual basis

  • Runs and supports training sessions, with a view to maximizing opportunities to expand team skills and to grow revenues

  • Takes a proactive role in promoting the LEWIS brand, its identity, values and work

  • Supports the HR / talent team by promoting both internal and external opportunities at LEWIS across social media and via the referral program

  • Actively seeks and shares knowledge of latest digital strategy trends, and technology innovations

  • Works with Digital and PR teams to optimize campaigns

  • Plays an active role in new business pitches as deemed necessary

About you

You have experience of working at a director level or equivalent in an Analytics or Strategy department at a digital or PR agency, implementing and executing on all aspects of marketing strategies. You are ever curious, passionate and constantly strive to produce exceptional work. You are driven to continue learning about your chosen field to enhance and expand the work that you can produce. Inherently collaborative, you engage your colleagues to achieve success for employees, clients and the business. High energy and dedicated, you are able to work to tight deadlines to get the work done. Experience of working in a fast-paced and changeable environment is essential.

Additional requirements

  • Extensive experience in a senior capacity in Digital Marketing, specifically in strategy and analytics

  • Significant experience in building and managing day-to-day client relationships at all levels

  • Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree

  • Extensive years professional experience in Digital Marketing, Analytics, and Strategy

  • Significant years building and managing day-to-day client relationships

  • Google Analytics Certified

  • Excellent research and writing skills

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Excellent mathematical, analytical, and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Strategic and Analytical mindset

  • Familiarity with industry relevant tools (i.e. MOZ, Conductor, SEMRush, SpyFu, Google Media tools, DOMO, Tableau) and Web analytics tools (i.e. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)

  • SEO and/or Paid Media knowledge a plus

  • Fluent English Speaker and writer

  • Ability to learn quickly, and become skilled in industry-specific and agency-specific software

  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience in Keynote a plus.
