This role is a senior level role in Research, responsible for providing Insurance Industry insights to our Technology and Service Provider clients through published research, client inquiry, stage presentations, teleconferences, and client meetings. It is important that the candidate has a vision for how the Insurance Industry leverages technology to transform their business at a worldwide and at a regional level.

  • Conduct on-going research and analysis in specific areas of expertise targeted to senior level clients. Working closely with a global team to create thought provoking content on product differentiation and portfolio transformation, ecosystems and channels build-up and management, and business model transformation required by digital transformation, modernization of legacy systems, and integration of data and analytics and AI / ML use cases into digital business technology platforms across the Insurance Industry.

  • The candidate is required to understand how the Insurance Industry is developing, help clients in their product portfolio management and partnerships, as well as assist vendors in overall industry strategy execution. Senior product management, product marketing or professional services experience in a software provider, IT services provider, cloud services provider, digital Insurance or similar is highly desirable.

  • Remain ahead of the curve on developments and issues within Insurance Industry transformation as well as applicable technology areas with the objective of producing innovative, thought-leading, impactful, analytically-deep, fact-based research output.

  • Respond to client inquiries and create materials for and deliver face to face, teleconference, video conference or webinar and event presentations to clients

  • Write a specified number of high quality, clear, actionable, timely, advisory research documents. Adhere to established agenda, template and editing guidelines. This role will also support forecasting for IT spending within the Insurance Industry.

  • Maintain the company's industry leadership reputation by responding to press inquiries

  • Proactively work with the wider sales organization and deliver outstanding sales support in order to retain and grow the business.

Job Requirements

  • Subject matter expertise in the Insurance Industry product portfolios, with the ability to demonstrate understanding of the business applications and opportunities in the technology market. The Candidate must be familiar with the global Insurance Industry service providers, and the competitive interplay between incumbents, emerging providers, disruptors and outsourcers in his/her market.

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Recent experience (within the past three years) of working in IT Services, Software or Cloud providers serving the Insurance Industry, preferably on product and portfolio management specifically for Insurance industry needs. Experience on driving a portfolio transformation for technologies that are transforming the Insurance Industry is definitely an asset.

  • Demonstrate excellent analytical skills; applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns and drawing and defending conclusions. Strong business and financial acumen as well as analytical skills are required for this position.

  • The candidate must be a strategic and critical thinker, able to efficiently multitask, and to deliver high quality actionable advice on time through a variety of media. The candidate must demonstrate a self-motivated work ethic but also be collaborative within geographically diverse team environment. International experience is desired.

  • Articulate and succinct communication skills with public speaking skills an advantage. Current visibility at senior level to Insurance Industry game changers such as digital giants, digital Insurance and Insurance industry software solution providers would be a valuable asset.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field with a proven record of academic achievement and/or advanced professional qualification(s) in related field preferred.

  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Skilled at working both independently and in a team environment. The role will require occasional travel.

The opportunity This team comprises our most highly specialized resources in the area of ASC 740, provision process and internal controls over the tax provision. As a member, you will work closely with our leaders to serve companies that need assistance with tax accounting for transactions or their on-going tax provision process. Your key responsibilities As a Senior, you'll provide clients with tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning (internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions from US GAAP to IFRS or IFRS to US GAAP, share based compensation, financial statement restatements and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts). You'll also assist companies with all aspects of their preparation of the tax provision. In addition, you'll also have the opportunity review of the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy and enhance the control environment and assessing tax risk and control environments inclusive of and beyond the boundaries of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.
