The Integrated Supply Chain engineering organization designs and enables our factories to drive world-class operational performance to deliver products that delight our customers. This is a high-visibility position in a winning team!.
This Senior Director position is responsible for developing the vision and strategy of how our 50+ Honeywell global factories should operate and making that strategy a reality. This leader will work with business leaders, operations and supply chain leaders, and manufacturing engineers to drive a transformation in our business with the right manufacturing methods, ensuring strategic operational business results are achieved, and grow the capability of our manufacturing organization.
The key objectives for this leader include: ensuring the execution of strategic manufacturing projects to enable performance of our factories and supply chain, working with operations teams and other stakeholders to ensure success, reporting status to executive and corporate leadership on a regular basis, driving strategic relationships with external companies to enable success, and be a thought-leader for the Integrated Supply Chain organization as part of the core corporate operations leadership team.
Geographic location: Preferred locations for this position are in Charlotte NC, Phoenix AZ, Atlanta GA, Minneapolis MN, Cincinnati OH, Chicago IL, or Northford CT; Clearwater FL, travel up to 50%
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, or related technical field
10 + years of manufacturing engineering and/or project engineering experience, including automation
5+ years of experience leading manufacturing and/or engineering teams
For Export compliance, candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent resident.
Ideal candidates will have a track record of operational improvement through manufacturing methods at large (Fortune 100) companies recognized as best-in-class in discrete manufacturing and supply chain management
Demonstrates a hands-on, energetic, accountable, and hardworking management style.
Customer-focused approach to operations management which supports growth and innovation, and which requires enhanced communication and cooperation.
Will be a self-starter capable of making good decisions with a track record of successfully managing people and processes and demonstrates success in supply chain systems and planning.
Strong organizational and leadership skills in an international environment with the ability to lead and drive projects to completion
Commanding knowledge of manufacturing processes, and associated business processes to enable a successful manufacturing operation (capital planning, new product introduction, design for manufacturing, supplier engagement, operational metrics)
Ability to focus teams to drive the highest impact methods as a priority and manage a rigorous operating system to ensure objectives are accomplished as planned
Outstanding functional expertise: ability to communicate the value proposition of the supply chain organization as a commercial asset.
Natural leadership skills; "edge" and gravitas; ability to influence and create followership.
People development skills. Ability to build talented teams to execute for success
Vision: ability to assess organizational capability; strategic with the ability to articulate both short and long-term (three-year) plans.
Expertise with Supply Chain systems, policies, processes, and procedures to achieve world-class, integrated supply chain performance.
Metric-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to comprehend broad sets of data (especially financial); technically astute; demonstrated history to act on analysis and drive impactful results.
Some knowledge and experience with lean, operational excellence, continuous improvement.
Industrial Manufacturing with a large global footprint
Multi-industry experience is preferred
