Job Summary:

Leads and directs practices related to employee and labor relations, management coaching, talent development, change management, integration, workforce planning, policy administration and performance management.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads a team of HR Business Partners and Generalists to ensure consistent application of HR deliverables

  • Works with leadership to establish and cascade goals and metrics related to human resources and enterprise initiatives

  • Ensures that HR Business Partners develop and maintain effective working relationships with leaders and managers

  • Provides timely, effective and reliable communications to ensure that HR Business Partners and Generalists are appropriately educated and informed of organizational initiatives and expectations.

  • Collaborates with other human resources leaders to develop employee relations policies and procedures.

  • Stays apprised of changes in employment law, labor law, healthcare policy and industry trends

  • Monitors compliance with applicable laws and regulations and ensures that proper documentation, record-keeping and reporting is performed in compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.

  • Provides coaching and mentoring to leaders and managers on employee relations issues.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field required.

  • Master's or Juris Doctor degree preferred.

Certifications:

  • None Required.

Complexity of Work:

  • Maintains a working knowledge of human resources practices, employment law and healthcare industry trends

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years of functionally relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated management experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal physical demands include dexterity sufficient to operate a personal computer and other office equipment.

  • Ability to travel to alternate sites throughout the organization.

  • Requires normal or correct vision, hearing and speech.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
