Summary:

The Senior Director of Global Access has the responsibility to represent, lead and direct the health economics strategy and implementation. Also has responsibility for government affairs and global access, as it relates to industry partnerships and government activities that furthers Dexcom's business objectives. The individual is ultimately responsible for overseeing the development compelling clinical outcomes, economic models, real world evidence and strategic product positioning on a global basis. This individual will direct staff and self to work with government entities, policy makers, advocacy organizations, third party payors/reimbursement authorities to enhance therapeutic credibility, company identity and product positioning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement worldwide strategies to ensure coverage and reimbursement of Dexcom products and services.

  • Oversee the development of clinical outcomes studies, health economic analysis and implementation of results.

  • Will oversee company relationships, correspondence, and policy recommendations to the government as relating to access. Scope will include US and OUS, coordinating within Dexcom internal matrix for regional scope.

  • Maintain very high-level relationships with KOL physicians, government entities and third-party payors.

  • Ensure appropriate Dexcom representation to diabetes patient advocacy organizations (i.e. ADA, JDRF) and professional organizations (AACE, EASD, IDF) as it relates to global access.

  • Ensure resources and personnel are sufficient to achieve business objectives. Responsible for ensuring alignment across the organization and peer levels regarding global access initiatives.

  • Responsible for ensuring Global Access department is committed to and conforms to the company quality system procedures as documented.

  • Responsible for ensuring that department understands and complies with quality standards and requirements as documented.

  • This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • 17+ years' experience in relevant field with more than 13 years of people management experience.

  • Experience working with chronic disease states, preferably in diabetes.

  • Experience working in a global company, with direct management experiences for OUS employees

  • Economic modeling and cost effectiveness analysis expertise

  • Requires subject matter expertise.

Education Requirements:

  • Master's level education required

  • Doctoral degree or equivalence to demonstrate subject matter expertise

Travel Required:

  • 50 74%

Essential Job Duties: Responsible for all aspects of study site monitoring including routine monitoring and close-out of clinical sites, maintenance of study files, conduct of pre-study and initiation visits; liaise with vendors; and other duties, as assigned. * Responsible for all aspects of site management as prescribed in the project plans * General On-Site Monitoring Responsibilities: * Ensure the study staff who will conduct the protocol have received the proper materials and instructions to safely enter patients into the study * Ensure the protection of study patients by verifying that informed consent procedures and protocol requirements are adhered to according to the applicable regulatory requirements * Ensure the integrity of the data submitted on Case Report Forms (CRFs) or other data collection tools by careful source document review.
