Position Summary

Samsung eCommerce is currently seeking a Senior Director, Head of Product Management, Global Platform, who will drive Global rollouts of our eCommerce Platform. This role will be responsible for the Global delivery and rollout of eCommerce Platform to 25+ countries in the next 18-24 months. You'll be working cross functionally joined at the hip with leaders in Engineering, Architecture and Business Operations teams around the globe.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and mentor a team of Senior Product Managers, Software Engineers, and related personnel.

  • Work with leaders/counterparts in Engineering/Platform teams to assess risk/mitigations for rollout for different countries.

  • Rollout lifecycle management from kickoff workshop to taking the platform live for different regions.

  • Align roadmap and requirements needs for various countries with short-term and long-term current platform enhancements.

  • Oversee country specific integrations for different modules in an eCommerce platform including supply chain, customer care, and others.

  • Own the product delivery roadmap and communication plan with executive leadership.

  • Use data driven decision making to address challenges that arise with Global rollouts.

  • Partner with other internal and external teams to executive product roadmap and strategy.

  • Develop process innovation in new areas. Make strategic adjustments from lessons learned from previous implementations.

  • Central stakeholder for all country forward facing relationships.

  • Remove roadblocks and help navigate cross-functionally with other organizations to accomplish successfully phased roll outs.

Experience

  • Experience leading and implementing Global delivery.

  • Experience leading localization efforts for a Global Delivery including being compliant to local region regulations.

  • 8+ years of technical program management experience with 5+ years of large scale product and project management experience in leading multi-organizational initiatives, and driving team accountability to achieve impactful goals.

  • Extensive experience with implementing eCommerce platforms required.

  • Extremely organized and self-driven competency in all phases of program management, including issue and risk identification and management; change management; tracking dependencies and phases; and communicating overall project status.

  • Considerable program planning and execution abilities excellent communication skill both verbal and written can use all possible communication channels in order to run global projects.

  • Proven analytical aptitude, including the ability to mine and analyze large, complex data sets.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and work under tight deadlines

  • Strong influencing skills and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to drive projects efficiently in a cross-functional environment by establishing respect and confidence in the business and technical communities.

  • Ability to motivate and focus people resources where there is no direct reporting relationship.

  • Understanding of open source technology and system complexities, should be able to assess a technical challenge and also participate in brainstorming possible solutions and deign choices.

  • Experience in working with various development methodologies, e.g. Agile and SCRUM, and process workflow across organizations.

  • MBA or Master's degree in related field preferred but not required.

What You'll Do: * Own and drive all aspects of the Loop Commerce platform. Solidify and articulate the vision of our gifting platform strategy that encompassess all the key platform features such as APIs, SDKs, services, apps, data, algorithms and more that we may have missed ourselves * Represent the customer. You will interface with customers, prospects, and partners to understand user needs and customer use cases. You will be the champion and voice of customers and have a keen sense of how our platform should evolve to meet these customers' and partners' growing needs * Collaborate closely with other product managers, engineering, program management, data science, business operations, sales, marketing, design, finance, and other cross-functional teams to build a suite of products and features that help our customers succeed in achieving their gifting objectives. * Define for each of the platform deliverables, their requirements and release schedules working with our customers, development teams spanning multiple disciplines and geographic locations * Have a clear pulse on innovations across the broader e-commerce and g-commerce community and help us identify new opportunities and look around corners. * Identify and track key success metrics for all of the platform products * Create and define the vision and mission of the gifting platform's developer experience.
