We are currently seeking a Sr. Director, Go to Market who will be at the center of our activities in APAC, establishing Rosetta Stone as a strong player in the region, coordinating business development, ad sales, product, PR & Marketing & affiliates activities. The position will be based in Seattle and involves travel. The Sr. Director, Go to Market will report and be supported by the SVP, Language Business Development & Strategy.
Define a vision for success, as well as an aggressive strategy to achieve sustainable, rapid growth.
Know and navigate the competitive landscape opportunity in region, keeping an eye out for opportunities to partner with other businesses and/or affiliates in order to win the market.
Set ambitious market and team forecasts and goals, continually monitoring market conditions and business performance to determine what actions we need to take to deliver against our objectives.
Advise the Leadership Team on APAC market conditions, helping us to align market and company strategy, and make adjustments as needed.
Prospect new business deals by integrating new providers to our platform; and analyze existing one's seeking an efficient monetization;
Prospect and manage affiliate partners, bringing efficient traffic to Rosetta Stone;
Prospect and manage partnerships and alliances that leverages business;
Identify gaps & maximize existing relationships in terms of revenue generation;
Help coordinating localization efforts and optimization of the local KAYAK site, with our central IT, quality management and marketing departments, to provide the best user experience possible;
Work along with Commercial and Marketing teams to identify opportunities to develop market;
Help managing the local PR agency and coordinate PR efforts; act as a representative of the brand in the market, supported by the Regional Director;
Synergy with other Country and Sales Managers to identify and enhance opportunities between markets
10-15 years of proven leadership in the APAC region, with entrepreneurial experience and/or operational e-commerce experience at either a startup or large consumer tech company. Strong preference for experience helping US-based companies scale operations in APAC, and bonus points for marketplace experience.
Results-driven, with a proven track record of developing, launching and managing business endeavors in APAC, while delivering demonstrable growth
Deep insights on APAC market and consumers
Versatile skills set, including but not limited to operations, business development, and marketing
Highly strategic, with exceptional communication skills, and capable of building strong collaboration with internal cross-functional stakeholders as well as external partners
Able to balance data-driven decision-making and communications with a strong empathy for the customer and instinct for the market.
Experience navigating the legal, financial, compliance, and operational complexities of running a global e-commerce business in APAC
Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, and highly organized
A passion for online learning, and a desire create opportunities that will change lives through teaching and learning in APAC
Fluent in one or more APAC languages
BA/BS degree required, graduate degree preferred
Travel requirement: 30%
