GlobalPricing Strategy (GPS) is a newly established team responsible for thedevelopment, implementation and oversight of global pricing strategy, policiesand long-term capabilities across the J&J Hospital Medical Device (JJHMD)portfolio of products with gross global sales of $21B. The group drivesalignment across franchises, platforms, and regions through central-lead,cross-functional collaboration and solid foundation in research and dataanalytics. The members of the global team work closely with Marketing, Sales,and Finance in building value-based business cases and driving a portfolio ofstrategic initiatives focused on near and long-term revenue growthopportunities. Simultaneously and in collaboration with IT, HEMA, GBI, and
Shared Services the group focuses on expanding existing and introducing newglobal capabilities across strategy, setting, getting and governance. The groupowns global targets and KPIs fully aligned with the financial and strategicpriorities of JJHMD.

The Senior Director, Global Pricing and Governance willbe the primary pricing interface to the Executive Leadership Team: GOC/MDLT and
Regional CFOs. The role will own program management, planning and forecasting,business operations, and global communications for GPS. As the primary owner ofgovernance and operations, the role will also be the primary liaison withspecialist external partners and JJ Shared Services. As a core member of GPS,they work on enhancing existing and introducing new capabilities, strategies,policies and processes aiming at creating significant commercial value,positively impacting customer engagement, introducing innovative marketapproaches and driving competitive advantage for JJHMD. The role will alsolead strategic initiatives and projects from the GPS portfolio and will overseea global resource team. They will be accountable for effective execution,stakeholder management as well as operational & financial KPIs alongsidetalent upskilling and development.
Strategic price planning and engagement framework in partnership with Franchise and Regional teams fully aligned with JJHMD business planning process focused on embedding strategic pricing within global operations (e.g. Finance)
GPS PMO and key metric operational scorecards in alignment with the strategic and operational targets of HMD; in this capacity the role will works closely with Finance to ensure all strategic initiatives have direct financial impact and are delivered on-time and within budget
Pricing Strategy Steering Committee (PSSC) as a dedicated cross-functional team collaborating on the design and roll-out of global capabilities and large-scale strategic initiatives
Global pricing communications to share best practices, highlight key initiatives, and drive though leadership across global pricing teams
The role will manage 3-5 GPS resources including: project manager, price planning analyst, communications analyst, and business operations analyst. In addition, the role will act as chief of staff to the Global Pricing Strategy VP.
In addition to demonstrating high level of proficiency in the business and the customer landscape and strong senior leadership influencing skills, the ideal candidates will possess a balance of quantitative/qualitative problem-solving skills, a sharp strategic mind grounded in insights within J&J as well as the medical device industry and more broadly, excellent written and oral communications and focus on driving financial impact.
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. A concentration in Business, Finance, Economics or Marketing is preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of total business experience is required.
Proven track record of working across geographies at senior management level is required.
Self-starter and strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to implement strategies based on competitive dynamics, economic goals, and customer needs.
Ability to use detailed financial analyses and high-level pattern recognition to drive performance is required.
Ability to work well in a cross-functional, global environment and build support across a complex set of senior stakeholders required.
Ability to form strong, trust-based relationships with Regional & Local Leadership Teams and other functional stakeholders.
Drive to understand the full set of JJHMD product & service portfolios and offerings, strategies and business objectives.
Ability to influence and align complex groups of stakeholders towards global while leveraging regional/local business objectives required.
Strong level of ownership and drive for meeting / exceeding expectations.
Ability to drive rapid, but fact-based decision-making with imperfect data.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills with significant experience in market and customer segmentation on global basis is required.
Experience with Marketing, Sales and R&D teams across healthcare and other industries is preferred.
Comfort working remotely with multiple lines of business on global basis required.
This position will be located in one of the following areas: New Brunswick, NJ; Somerville, NJ; Raynham, MA; Cincinnati, OH; West Chester, PA; Warsaw, IN or Irvine, CA and will require up to 40% domestic travel.
