Sr. Director, Global Marketing Pricing (Memphis, TN or Remote)

The Sr. Director of Orthopaedics Global Pricing leads all aspects of the global pricing strategy, the price setting, price getting and set up of governance. A key element to this role is deploying value-based pricing across the entire portfolio to maximize value. Working with regional commercial leadership teams, you will establish global value ladders and positioning for all key brands, set index pricing guidelines to address inflation, and lead product life-cycle value from a pricing perspective. You will develope consistent pricing expectations and critical metrics, establishing governance processes and tools, and tracking results to ensure successful implementation of pricing strategies. This role will also help IT and finance with the right insights to build the right analytics, and data / systems capabilities.

What will you be doing?

  • Collaborate with key partners to create the global pricing strategy for Orthopaedics, using internal and external data and market research to define opportunities and risks.

  • Define and implement a global pricing governance framework to increase pricing discipline and protect long term value

  • Lead value-based pricing and portfolio segmentation strategy and planning on NPI teams to ensure go-to-market plan maximizes profit opportunities and value extraction of innovation.

  • Understand regional and local markets' pricing landscapes to help adapt and implement local pricing framework and guidelines and act as ambassador to drive pricing transformation.

  • Contemplate the short- and long-term impacts of inflation and other macro-economic factors on pricing strategy and develop solutions to address cost pressures and profitability risks

What will you need to be successful?

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • 12+ years in pricing and product marketing in the life sciences industry (pharma, med device, biotech etc).

  • Global strategic pricing experience and success in leading change for a global B2B matrix organization delivering pricing solutions and governance systems

  • Ability to analyze ambiguous and undefined market opportunities and to articulate a clear strategy and a well-defined execution plan

  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams

  • Knowledge of the medical device and ortho market, including pricing and health economics

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $215,000-268,000 USD annually and the compensation offered will depend on the candidate's qualifications. You may also be entitled to receive bonus and benefits, which may include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k, tuition reimbursement, medical leave programs, and a variety of wellness offerings.
