Job Summary:

  • Reporting directly to VP Finance, Transformation, this position will provide strategic leadership for the development and operating model design for the record to report and order to cash and its related activities across the company.

  • Acts as a knowledge source for process improvement and technology initiatives focused on streamlining the Record to Report and Order to Cash processes

  • Assess the current state process to identify quick improvement areas, medium term opportunities, and long term strategies

  • Work with Finance leadership to prioritize and outline detailed roadmap to deliver on improvement opportunities

  • Develop a business case and help design a more streamlined, standardized, and efficient future state operating model and business process for Record to Report and Order to Cash

  • Develop tactical workplans to deliver on transformation priorities

  • Implement a new operating and resourcing model for Record to Report and Order to Cash working closely with IT, Finance, Shared Services, and Procurement functions

  • Document processes end to end and re-imagine to be processes to drive transformative change in processing

  • Identify and support the closing of identified SOX gaps based on continuous monitoring and improvement initiatives

  • Work to establish engagement model between business and shared service organization including outlining clear policies and rules, managed through KPI's and SLAs

  • Responsible for leading the development of change management strategies, plans and communications for Finance department

  • Responsible for effective communication between delivery teams, either within the organization or a BPO service provider, and the business customers of the services

  • Support and co-ordinate process reviews within the Finance teams to drive continuous improvement and transformation

  • Develop and grow junior staff and direct report/

Skills & Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree required; Master's degree or further professional designation preferred

  • A minimum of 8 years of related experience with proven track record, including strategic support of senior executives aligning technology, change management, workforce, strategies with business priorities

  • Experience with global record to report and order to cash processes required

  • Experience developing and executing complex project plans

  • Experience managing and developing global teams including outsourced resources

  • Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders, manage competing agendas and priorities, and translate complex information across functions

  • Ability to work with ambiguity while delivering on outlined priorities and objectives

  • Ability to multi-task and oversee diverse initiatives and individuals

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills: driving insight and decision-making

The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of combined experience in collections at a global organization listed in the U.S. What you will do * Understand the Global Credit and Collections policy, ensuring optimal operational effectiveness * Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and develop/refine Credit and Collections processes and procedures with a focus on continuous improvement and accuracy of transactions under IFRS. * Manage credit, collections activities and customer inquiries performed by the outsourced vendor and internal terms. * Collaborate with cross functional teams including Sales organizations, Legal and Finance etc. to resolve any issues that may arise. * Review and interpret terms and conditions of revenue contracts and be able to confirm the validity and accuracy of associated billing, cash applications and transactional taxes. * Ensure information systems are adequate for the volume and complexity of transactions as well as for analyzing financial data. * Work closely with IT and key business owners to drive key system initiatives and improvements. * Other responsibilities include but are not limited to participate in special/ad hoc projects, system implementation and enhancements as needed. * Travel required less than 10% of total work time. Who you are * Minimum of 7 years of collection, credit, and financial operations experience with global company in digital advertising, telecommunication or digital subscriptions industries. * Experience in managing outsourced vendors in Credit and Collections processes. * Excellent people management skills with an emphasis in people and team development. * Excellent project management skills and the ability to collaborate with management and others in the company. * Strategic thinker and problem solver with the ability to transform goals into actionable plans. * Previous experience in a high-growth, fast paced environment with the ability to multitask and work well under pressure. * Experience with global public company with international operations with complex billing transactions. Preferred if listed in the U.S. in digital advertising, telecommunication or digital subscriptions or industries. * Experience with leading the collaboration with cross functional partners like BIS Sales, Ads Ops, finance, legal, sales, BD, tax etcetera. * Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. * Good knowledge with a major ERP system (Oracle, SAP or Netsuite) and other applications and CRM e.g. Salesforce.
