Position Purpose: Partner with executive leadership to manage contract deliverables and compliance to maximize profitability. Review and analyze detailed business unit budgets and the compare to actual financial results.
Facilitate annual operating plan cycle for the segment, including support of the monthly financial reporting activities and inputs to ensure operating performance is met.
Oversee the successful operation of financial planning, long-term fiscal planning, program planning, accounting and contract negotiation, analysis and administration.
Oversee forecasting, analysis, and evaluation of all internal financial reporting to ensure transparency of financial and business results Partner with program/operational leadership to develop and execute strategies to improve business operations and financial results
Develop and/or enhance standard operational finance dashboards and executive level program reporting to facilitate a better understanding of the operational levers that impact financial results. Implement standard dashboards, models and templates within the finance organization to enhance the consistency and effectiveness of reporting.
Partner with IT to ensure management information systems appropriately leverage the technology to improve financial performance. Identify and assist in corrective actions of process flaws and data bottlenecks, minimize information lags, and utilize information as a tool to enhance the financial reporting and analysis system to provide timely, accurate and complete information.
Understand Contractor Business Systems clauses included in the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), specifically as it related to the accounting systems and the relationship to business management activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Assist in identification of issues and corrective actions, as required.
Support merger and acquisition (M&A) activities by leading due diligence, financial modeling and integration planning activities.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field. 7 years of experience. Previous experience managing a profit and loss area or entire program.
License/Certification: CPA or MBA preferred.
This position will be supporting a Federal government contract, therefore it requires U. S. citizenship and proof of favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense form SF86 or higher security.
