Senior Director Finance

The Sr. Director of Finance is responsible for monitoring financial performance, forecasting event count and financial results, building financial models to evaluate business case opportunities, overseeing the P&L and managing the financial reporting within the assigned division.

Job Duty

  • Develop financial operating reports, such as annual plans, quarterly forecasts, periodic reviews and updates. Gather business performance data, analyze and compare it to previous periods and develop recommendations for improvement in revenue growth or resource allocation.

  • Manages the division's financial operations, including cash management, budgeting, general ledger, billing, collections, and monitoring financial performance.

  • Oversee the client and supplier profitability analysis for the Sales and Operations divisions for external and internal margin optimization.

  • Enhance the financial support of operations through financial analysis, contract review, ROI computations and various other metrics.

  • Coordinates with the sales team on new business development and performs business case modeling and building blocks.

  • Supervises Finance personnel and performance for the division.

  • Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources

Indirect Reports

  • May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Travel and/or Driving Requirements

  • Travel up to 10%

Minimum Qualifications

The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level: (Required) Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

(Preferred) MBA Degree or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience: Public Accounting and/or CPA preferred
10+ years of related experience in finance
5+ years of supervisory experience

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Demonstrated in-depth expertise in/knowledge of applications of financial information systems; excellent management skills and proficient interpersonal and communications skills.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common financial reports, and legal documents.

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.

We are currently seeking a Division Finance Manager to be located in Rogers, Arkansas and report to the Senior Manager, Finance. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Participate in the customer and channel strategy development process and ensure the commercial plan is executed in line with the overall company strategy. * Optimize trade spend investments: o Identify the most efficient & effective way to perform pre & post evaluation (financial & commercial) and ensure that the analysis is completed; learning log is maintained with key learnings implemented. o Ensure procedures are in place to determine if Nestlé is obtaining optimal performance in line with customer agreements. * Leverage Customer Contribution Statements as a Management Tool to drive topline and bottom line growth * Monitor evolution of Sales Force MOGE and advise sales leadership on variances through reporting and monthly tracking * Custodian of internal controls and assurance that trade spend practices comply with internal and external guidelines * Ambassador to the Finance community from the Sales Team to ensure transparency, alignment and proactive collaboration * Provide financial insights for business growth with customer facing Supply Chain initiatives and measures of success (on shelf availability, new packages, distribution, etc.) * Participate in discussions and review on order to cash payment cycle and provide financial guidance in customer negotiations (pricing, customer deductions, allowances, promotional frequency). * Improve Customer Sales Team business acumen through training and ongoing finance and sales analysis * Execute the forecast and plan for volume, NNS, TTS & customer contribution to ensure alignment with monthly business planning and the dynamic forecast; asses gap closing opportunities and raise issues timely with Sr. Leadership Key qualifications include: * 7 to 10 years of experience in finance, accounting or economics specific roles * Prior experience in Co-Piloting or Sales Finance Control Supermarket function preferred * Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics required * Prior experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) Company preferred * Proficiency with financial Planning/Forecasting (Essbase) and Trade Spend Management tools preferred * Strong financial modeling skills required with a high level of proficiency in Excel * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of multi-tasking and comfortable under pressure * Strategic thought leadership – a big-picture view while executing functional requirements * Outstanding organizational and follow up skills * Demonstrated commitment to leadership development, coaching and feedback To our veterans and separated service members: you are at the forefront of our minds as we recruit top talent to join Nestlé.
