The Senior Director of Labeling and Packaging role offers a truly unique opportunity to drive positive change throughout our Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization to impact the lives of patients around the world.
In this role you will have the responsibility and opportunity to:
Lead transformative change
Play a critical role in leading, designing and driving the implementation of an end-to-end (E2E) GSC strategy, developing corporate and/or organizational policies to drive company growth and GSC Aspirations.
Create a culture for lean new product and process development and commercialization through collaboration with cross-functional partners and through the new product lifecycle driving design for manufacturing, robust process capability and integration of new technology.
Design and establish a motivating and trusting environment where all team members experience professional growth and can reach their full potential by creating best practices for the industry.
Provides leadership and strategies for Continuous Improvement with the goal of increasing efficiency and driving down standard cost.
Drives the development of new and improved systems, processes, methods, equipment and technology in order to position GSC for growth, compliance and efficiency.
Incorporate proven and methodical approaches to problem solving to address complex technical issues across multiple disciplines.
Provides updates, strategy recommendations and plans to upper management as needed; Anticipates budget needs, quantifies budget to support budget planning, and manages budget.
Direct global Supply Chain Processes (Packaging/Labeling/Sterilization activities) around the globe.
Develop a robust talent development and succession planning in alignment with functional growth strategies across the global organization.
Provide your technical expertise and the resulting ownership of E2E Labeling/Packaging/Sterilization solutions including, Strategy & Roadmap, Process and Technology roadmap, Solutions & Technology and Regulatory Assessments by rolling up your sleeves and leveraging your experience as an Engineering and Manufacturing leader.
Establish and build customer and stakeholder relationships across the organization to ensure successful completion of Engineering goals and long-term objectives.
Responsible for transformational leadership and the execution of all global Labeling/Packaging/Sterilization strategies, including negotiations with internal and external parties with accountable for meeting agreed upon scope, cost, schedule, quality measures, and updating stakeholders, senior management, and other team members with project status, issue resolution and executive briefings.
Plan, direct, and prioritize strategic activities with overall responsibility for meeting business objectives. Lead in identifying risk, developing all mitigation strategies within Labeling, best practices, alternative solutions, resolving issues, etc. in collaboration with cross functional and/or matrix teams.
Analyze, formulate and present recommendations to advise and guide executive level leadership; develop and deliver executive level communication.
Minimum of 15 years of management and leadership experience.
The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) leader must have a combination of strong, demonstrated skills including:
Proven Experience working in a Matrixed Organization Structure
Program and project management, Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma experience required. Certified Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
Proven record that demonstrates that he/she is adept at creating, directing and implementing plans, defining project management goals and subsequently attaining the plan.
A track record of successfully maintaining and mentoring highly educated, skilled engineers in an entrepreneurial environment and verifiable achievements wherein creativity and innovation have been proven.
Proven supervisory and organizational development capability
Proven ability to engage and manage multiple projects including multinational engineering teams. Proven ability to consistently generate and implement innovative and unique solutions to complex technical and human resource problems is required
Success experience with project management. Proven experience working with quality system tools and professionals to ensure highly reliability processes.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of employees, vendors, industry personnel.
Strong ability to develop resources and influence others. Ability to set strategic direction for organization and broadly communicate the vision, strong results orientation and people development skills are essential.
Fifteen years of experience in managing new process/product development engineering resources, supporting manufacturing functions, handling multiple projects and leading cross functional project teams.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Scientific Field required, Master's Degree preferred
A history of successful experience in Labeling and/or Packaging within the Medical Device Industry
Demonstrated strong business acumen, strategic planning and financial management that has ensured budget (Capex and Opex) attainment
Active PMP Certification Preferred
P.E. or professional technical certifications preferred
