Description

As the Senior Director of Disaster Recovery and Multi Region Strategy your primary responsibility will be to develop the vision, program, and to implement Disaster Recovery, Multi-Region capabilities across consumer facing systems, platforms in partnership with Architecture, Engineering and Program organizations. You will strengthen long term resilience plans including business and technical recovery across cloud and on prem hosted production systems. You will nurture development of a multi region cloud strategy and implementation for Nike Direct technologies. Scope includes mobile, web technologies and backend systems supporting the fulfillment, support and financial reconciliation for consumer and retail based transactions. This position requires a self-motivated, influential, passionate team member with excellent technical and communication skills as well as thorough program management skills. In addition, this position requires someone who can coordinate teams of architects, engineers, and product owners (from VP level to individual contributor) and can work in a productive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Encourage the Development, Implementation and Testing of Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions for Nike Direct Technologies

  • Develop Multi-region (MR) vision, strategy and implementation

  • Guide the prioritization of DR, MR work in squad backlogs

  • Drive Disaster Recovery, Multi-Region best practices, standards into architecture, engineering teams

  • Applies broad business and organization expertise to drive financial and operational performance across departments

Qualifications

  • 10+years directly relevant experience; experience should include comprehensiveexperience as a business/process leader or industry expert

  • Proventrack record of High-Profile communication written and verbal

  • Hasbias for action and a desire for measurable results

  • Demonstrationof strong influencing skills

  • Abilityto drive and support complex, large scale programs

  • Demonstratedability to achieve results through people and across organizations throughsenior leaders, peers and matrix direct reports

  • Strongexperience in Disaster Recovery and Technical Recovery Planning

  • Wellversed in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum

  • Hands-onexperience with Cloud (Public Cloud specific AWS experience a PLUS)

  • Abilityto pass a 7 year background investigation

Description The Director of North America Platforms, Consumer Direct Science (CDS) leads a team to implement around the three growth principles at Nike; Data driven decisions, Consumer Direct Offense, and lead with North America. Primary focus will be platform optimization, including partnerships with the Nike App teams, SNKRS team, and site merchandise team as it relates to platform trends, analysis, and insights. Additional partners include BI, Global CDS, NA Marketplace, and NA Nike Digital Commerce leadership team. The spectrum of work includes developing a team to deliver quick ad hoc analysis, weekly reporting, and deep dive insights to impact the trajectory of the business. As a Director, the role requires the ability to guide both up and down as well as digging into the data yourself. Responsibilities: * Lead cross-functional projects to uncover opportunities in the business * Enable teams to make data-driven decisions by leveraging dashboards, providing reporting, and delivering insights * Collaborate and partner with Global and Geo leaders to align on strategy and roadmaps * Develop, maintain, and oversee data models, reporting, data automation, and dashboards support key business decisions * Continuously improve processes and reporting as new needs, requirements, and data arise * Communicate to leadership and partners business insights, risks and opportunities, and deliverables in a clear, concise manner * Make sound decisions in ambiguous or difficult situations, including when under pressure * Act as functional/end-user SME in data architecture and visualization decisions * Lead, develop, guide, and inspire a team of analysts Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, or Computer Science * Minimum of 8 years professional experience * Leadership experience preferred * Retail experience, ecommerce experience preferred * Excellent SQL skills, capable of completing assignments effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries * Excellent organizational change management skills with a excellent attention to detail * Outstanding collaboration and partnership capabilities * Demonstrated proficiency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems * Experience with senior leadership and ability to deliver executive-level summary updates, reports and presentations * Excellent leadership and ability to strengthen towards capabilities and desired outcomes * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Experience with Adobe Analytics, IBM Analytics, Google Analytics or other web analytics tools * Experience with data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI, etc. NIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it.
