As Senior Director, Digital Program Management, you will partner with the sales, marketing and technical teams to capture and deliver strategic programs, with an initial focus on mobile drivers' license (mDL) and Electronic ID (eID) programs. In this exciting and challenging executive role you will lead IDEMIA's program team, driving on-time, quality deliverables, customer acceptance, and mDL adoption. You will be responsible for influencing senior leaders within the customer community and private industry partners to align and agree to proposed solutions, and will serve as the expert within the division on the delivery of mobile programs. This position requires proactive leadership, domain knowledge, exceptional program management skills, prior experience with software and infrastructure deliver, and executive presence.
Key to your success will be the ability to effectively balance competing priorities and interests, the ability to lead cross-business teams in a matrix organization, and a relentless drive to deliver quality services to satisfied customers on time and under budget. In addition to program execution responsibilities, you will be instrumental in growing and expanding our digital identity programs and other strategic initiatives. You may assist in developing winning capture strategies, help lead proposal efforts, train future mDL/eID program managers and teams, and participate in customer and industry presentations.
Specific responsibilities include:
Lead a cross-business program team within a matrix environment, to include both local and offshore personnel at multiple locations. You will manage day to day program development and execution in compliance with our standard processes, while contributing to the refinement of those processes
Management responsibilities specifically include interface with and management of software development teams, product management teams, customer facing teams specific to mDL/eID deployments, and the key senior customer relationships.
Ensure the development of clear and unambiguous project requirements, effectively managing customer expectations
Develop and continually measure program key performance indicators (KPIs), to include leading indicators for cost, schedule, and quality performance; you will help drive proactive behavior across our team as well as customer and industry partner teams
Effectively manage teammates and subcontractors, developing clear statements of work
Develop and review revenue forecasts and cost estimates, ensuring accuracy
Manage scope change and facilitate value added improvements
Effectively manage risks and opportunities anticipate, define, measure, mitigate, and retire risks
Ensure effective communications with our customers, building strong, supportive working relationships with our customers and their consultants
Mentor and develop highly talented project and functional managers, serving as a role model for inclusive and ethical behavior while fostering a culture of responsibility and accountability across the business
Gathers data, analyzes competition, and captures customer requirements to identify gaps in the company's offerings; S/he will interface with management, engineering, information technology and finance to develop probability studies, return on investment analyses and delivery timelines
Occasional overnight travel is required, estimated at 40%
10-15 years' experience in program management, with at least 10 years leading cross-business teams on multiple, complex software development and system integration projects using both Agile and waterfall approaches
Domain knowledge in identity management, mobile platforms and applications, and cloud services (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)
Past experience with systems integration, software deployment, infrastructure deployment and quality assurance
Proven ability to both plan, at a highly detailed level, and execute complex programs
Well developed, executive-level critical thinking and communication skills (written and oral)
Demonstrated ability to facilitate, influence, and enable team collaboration
Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills, with a demonstrated ability to make effective decisions while working through complex issues
Familiarity with industry standard tools, including SW project management, project scheduling, and risk management tools such as Microsoft Project and the Atlassian suite
A track record that displays a relentless drive to exceed customer expectations
Ability to build detailed business cases to support new business development efforts
Experience using and enhancing formal integrated product development processes
Project management certification, such as the PMi PMP or equivalent, and or Scrum Master certification
Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience
Experience with accepted practices in software quality assurance and testing
Product management and product development methodologies
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
