T-Mobile is building an Advertising and Data Business (A&DB) as its next key revenue generating line of business. It is of the utmost importance that we use "privacy by design" to build this business while aligning with our brand promise and adding value for our customers. To lead this effort, we're seeking a Senior Director, Data and Privacy Products and Strategy to perform a vital strategy and planning role in ensuring T-Mobile's collection, use, and sharing of customer data is consistent with applicable law, company policies and brand positioning, and most importantly, that it is done in our customers' best interest.
Privacy and usage of customer data impacts our entire enterprise, thus the Senior Director's influence will expand well beyond
A&DB. This leader will be a key contributor in creating and driving T-Mobile's long-term overarching, integrated customer privacy
strategies that span across all lines of business and sales & service channels (Consumer, B2B, IOT, Home & Entertainment, Metro
PCS and Advertising & data innovation businesses). Privacy and customer trust are of paramount importance as we continue to
innovate and grow our advertising and data business. The Senior Director will ensure that we protect customer privacy and earn
their trust every day.
The Senior Director will build and lead a team of 4-5product managers and privacy professionals that will define privacy product vision and customer experiences. Partner closely with Product & Technology team to designs, launch, and operate a centralizedcustomer privacy platform and privacy products, coordinating with the Chief Privacy Officer's organization, Marketing & Experience, and Commercial teams. have the following requisite qualifications:
Has designed and successfully implemented overarching, integrated customer privacy strategies. Experienced in effectively driving alignment across a broad set of stakeholder organizations, including Legal, Marketing, and Technology/Product.
Established and well-networked in the Privacy space across industries such as Hi-Tech, Financial Services, and other regulated industries that handle consumer data.
Well versed in current consumer privacy/data legislation at the State and Federal levels.
Skilled in external relations, including presenting to government regulatory bodies on behalf of a major corporation in partnership with Government Affairs.
Proven track record of leading diverse, multi-faceted teams in the Privacy space (such as policy, product, and legal professionals). Legal or Engineering background is a plus.
Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's or JD degree is a plus.
CIPP, CIPM or related privacy professional certification.

Drive T-Mobile's extensive customer privacy policies, participate in internal and external relations, and create some of the most memorable breakthrough customer data privacy experiences possible in wireless and beyond. You will help ensure that we are earning customer trust every day and achieving A&DB business goals by influencing the Un-carrier privacy value proposition and launching it.
Partner and collaborate extensively with business leaders, including the Privacy Office, Legal, Product & Technology, and Marketing leadership to deliver Un-carrier experiences around customer privacy, and move the business forward by adopting a privacy first design mindset.
Work cross-functionally with teams of privacy-focused product managers to influence consumer privacy experiences.
Partner with the Privacy Office and Government Affairs to vet new products and services.
Create breakthrough and differentiating brand moments in alignment with overarching customer privacy strategy.
Design a differentiated Un-carrier approach to Privacy to put users in charge of their data, and for users to receive value on their data. Lead the business to proactively address consumer privacy needs and keep T-Mobile ahead of the curve.
Collaborate with Product & Technology team to develop and launch a central customer privacy platform and privacy products. Innovate and drive a richer customer experience by creating best in class, simple privacy and consent management products for our customers.
Partner with Privacy Office, Government Affairs team, and trade associations to work with government agencies and privacy advocates in reviewing upcoming privacy policies, influencing the policy making and ensuring that T-Mobile's business interests are protected.
Represent T-Mobile's Privacy practices as a powerful advocate within the community. Serve as an advocate and thought leader to external audiences like regulators, public forums and overall partner ecosystem to influence changes in privacy policies, culture and mindset which will be beneficial to customers and also help businesses make progress in achieving their goals.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of privacy and data security trends, the shifting customer attitudes and awareness of these topics, and increasing legal and regulatory pressures. Ensure that our practices enable and do not hamper the operation and growth of our Advertising and Data Business.
Influence privacy-by-design change management throughout the organization, helping business lines ensure new business models and partnerships incorporate regulatory requirements and industry standards. Serve as the customer advocate internally to ensure that we earn and protect customer trust around their data.
