Overview

VIEW JOBS 8/18/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-16T00:00 This Tax Senior Manger position is within the U.S. Income Tax Compliance team of the Global Tax Operations group. The position will be based in Irving, TX This position will have a primary focus on federal and state partnership tax compliance; however, the ideal candidate should have a solid background in federal and state income tax compliance for both partnerships and large corporations. Strong organizational skills and accounting skills will also be important in this position. Responsibilities will also include managing direct reports. Position Description * Apply tax knowledge to ensure accurate and timely filing of federal and state partnership tax returns * Utilize accounting and tax software tools to compile information for tax reporting * Support interplay between partnerships and corporations related to state filing groups, flow through of tax adjustments and state apportionment * Prepare section 704 partner allocations, partner basis analyses, and sections 734, 743 and 754 adjustments as well as partner debt allocations * Support corporate income tax compliance and US tax provision * Contribute to process and technology improvements aimed at streamlining overall compliance and reporting * Research tax issues, review legislative developments, and evaluate their impact to the tax returns * Work with tax planning and strategy team to understand items impacting tax returns * Build collaborative working relationships across the organization Minimum Requirements * 7+ years relevant tax experience in public accounting or industry Critical Skills * Proficiency working with common accounting and income tax software, CorpTax expertise preferred. * Working knowledge of federal and multi-state tax compliance processes for large organizations * Extensive Subchapter K partnership tax experience * Working tax accounting knowledge, a plus * Familiarity with characterization, calculation, and reporting of special and/or targeted allocations, disguised payments, guaranteed payments, minimum gain, and other complex partnership concepts Additional Knowledge & Skills * Strong accounting, analytical, research, and organizational skills required * Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills required * Experience managing others * Strong desire to collaborate and work as a team Education * 4-year degree in accounting or related field required * MBA or MST preferred Certifications/Licensure * CPA preferred Physical Requirements General Office Demands Benefits & Company Statement McKesson believes superior performance – individual and team – that helps us drive innovations and solutions to promote better health should be recognized and rewarded.
