Director, Cloud Global Field GTM and Communications
F5 is looking for a Head of Public Cloud Field GTM Operations, Go-To-Market Strategy, and Executive Communications. You will own the GTM strategy, planning, execution, and reporting for F5's efforts across Public Cloud providers. You will lead critical projects to improve our global brand and messaging. You will own and oversee the F5 go-to-market calendar and will provide thought leadership on such topics as F5 product positioning, brand and persona presence, customer challenges and solution messaging with Public Cloud providers. You will need to collaborate with many stakeholders to develop solutions and influence change. You will work closely with the VP of Cloud, and Field Sales Leaders, Marketing, PR, and AR teams and the leadership team to establish best practices, procedural rigor, operational and process improvement, and analytical insights to drive adoption of F5 in cloud.
This role requires an individual with outstanding business acumen, and exceptional written and oral communication skills. The successful candidate will be data-driven, have a strong bias for action, and have the ability to deliver results. You will be adept at building a marketing business plan, with a deep understanding of the underlying analytics and tactics to drive exponential growth with minimal investments. You will assist in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. This role requires the ability to analyze messaging and campaign effectiveness, modify programs based on conclusions, and clearly articulate results to stakeholders. You will have a strong technology background combined with a passion for storytelling and experience in communications.
You should be comfortable with a fast-paced dynamic environment, be able to clearly and concisely communicate recommendations and conclusions with the support of detailed analysis and sources, and may be asked to regularly participate in cross-functional teams in support of initiatives throughout the organization.
Define and execute marketing programs designed to raise awareness and brand recognition for F5.
Shape the Public Cloud messaging across product, campaigns, GTM, and executive speaking engagements.
Collaborate with and leverage internal resources such as marketing, sales enablement teams, and analyst relations to drive market awareness and demand.
Use data and testing to optimize and improve content and targeting for marketing programs and campaigns.
Lead organizational goal setting, tracking and communication
Own process for annual resource planning, allocation, and tracking cloud budget
Develop and distribute monthly reporting package with analysis of results and business impact.
Engage with Sales teams to create measurable shared goals and track those goals.
Responsible for driving key strategic initiatives for the organization, leading small, focused teams.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
8+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, or technical customer facing roles
Experience communicating (verbal and written) effectively with both business and technical teams
Experience with project management and process improvement
Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail
Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
Strong understanding of marketing KPIs and go-to-market channels
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Working knowledge of how to leverage programs offered by Cloud Providers
Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast paced environment
