Job Description
As the Senior Director of Channel Marketing, you will proactively guide the strategy and execution of our marketing and merchandising efforts at our channel partners (both retail and wholesale), to help the Outdoors Business Unit outperform the market and deliver our joint financial targets with our partners. You will oversee the channel team's efforts across multiple brands, managing relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders to develop strategic marketing plans tailored to each business's needs. You will collaborate, orchestrate and drive alignment with cross-functional teams including our Marketing COE, Sales, Category Management, eCommerce, Finance, and Ops to ensure unified execution and a cohesive experience for all stakeholders (both external and internal). Your role will be crucial in expanding the company's presence in diverse market segments and driving revenue through effective channel strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business, and (8+) years' experience marketing products and services in Retail Channels (as well as knowledge of Wholesale Channels), with demonstrated experience in critical and innovative thinking across multiple brands & channels with a deep understanding of consumer/end-user marketing as well as customer/retailer/wholesale partner needs across a multi-category and multi-brand global organization. CPG experience is preferred but not mandatory.
This is a hybrid designated role, which includes working 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) out of one of our Fortune Brands hub locations (Maumee, Ohio: North Olmsted, OH) and you must be able to travel at least 30% of the time for customer visits, store checks, test markets, and various office site visits.
What you will be doing:
Oversee briefs and statuses with cross-functional teams for alignment, execution, and deliverables.
Monitor and report on KPIs, using data to inform future marketing strategies.
Develop comprehensive channel marketing strategies aligned with business goals, identifying key markets, segments, and channels for growth.
Manage and guide strategy through execution, leveraging data insights to enhance strategies and stay updated on industry best practices.
Enable channel partners through training, education, and marketing collateral, ensuring they have the necessary resources to drive sales success.
Design and execute channel marketing programs, promotions, and campaigns to drive demand generation and sales adaptation.
Build and retain strong relationships with channel partners, distributors, and key stakeholders, addressing their needs and feedback.
Conduct market research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, refining channel strategies for maximum impact.
Establish key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of channel marketing initiatives and provide actionable insights.
Manage the channel marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
Collaborate closely with sales, product/channel management, and other internal teams to ensure alignment of channel marketing efforts with overall go-to-market strategies.
