Job Description:

Directs, plans, organizes and evaluates the development, coordination and management of Northwell Ventures Operations. Oversees the planning, organizing, and operational performance of identified divisions and strategic initiatives. Participates in the development, implementation, and sustained management of financial and strategic planning activities. Manages the activities of the new ventures operations group. Facilitates initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, quality, and the integration of Northwell Ventures into the operations of the Health System.
1.Coordinates, oversees, and manages objectives of the Northwell Ventures operations group and strategic initiatives as identified by leadership:

  • Organizes efforts to prioritize needs of specified divisions across the ventures operations groups.

  • Directs the new ventures operations team, ensures operational goals, timelines and deliverables are achieved.

  • Initiates, coordinates strategic analyses of market opportunities, growth objectives, diligence, implementation and operations for responsible entities.

  • Oversees the development and monitoring of strategic operating goals, objectives and reports operational performance.

  • Initiates and evaluates analyses identifying best practices and opportunities. Makes recommendations for improvements in operational processes, policies and procedures across all ventures operations groups.
    2.Financial Management

  • Develops and oversees financial management including budget, salary, capital, and revenue and expense projections.

  • Participates in planning, organizing, and coordinating financial practices to grow revenue and manage expenses.
    3.Operational Performance

  • Monitors and evaluates division performance by developing metrics and monitoring measurement tools.

  • Applies new concepts and techniques to streamline operations and improve outcomes. Identifies and implements technology to improve operations.

  • Prepares operational analysis of the operating entities of Northwell Ventures Operations, presentations, and other recommendations as required. Presents analysis and recommendations to leadership of Northwell Ventures Operations.

  • Advises and directly supports the VP of Ventures Operations on all potential opportunities benefitting ventures operations.
    4.Selects, develops, manages and evaluates direct reports; and oversees the selection, development, management and evaluation of indirect reports.
    5.Builds and maintains productive inter/intra departmental and vendor work relationships to optimize operations.
    6.Assigns and prioritizes assignments of staff. Ensures staff development to maximize operation and business needs.
    7.Oversees, evaluates educational needs related to operational business practices and conducts-in services.
    8.Develops, builds and grows relationships in and out industry to keep current with advances in the management and evolvement of assigned business units.
    9.Acts as a liaison between business development and ventures operations.

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Health Services, Public Administration, Finance or related field, required.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years progressively responsible healthcare administration experience, required.

VIEW JOBS 11/16/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-14T00:00 Job Description As the Senior Administrative Director, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, continued operations, and planning for multi-physicianoutpatient practice(s)/hospital inpatient and ICU services, single or multi-practice departments for multiple facilities. You will coordinate the resources of multiple administrative disciplines/functions of the hospital in order to fulfill programmatic directions and goals. This includes marketing strategy, physician referral relations, patient satisfaction targets and related measures to achieve total quality improvement. You will ensure the continual efficient and compliant operational performance of the department and all related areas; develop support systems for referrals, assessment and recommendations regarding purchases and staffing; support revenue cycle functions, quality and service excellence initiatives. Responsibilities include: 1. Responsible for the inpatient, ICU operations, and outpatient operations. Coordinates administrative functions. Plans and supports program development of the department/ division across both North Shore University Hospital and LIJ. * Coordinating activities including growth objectives, space allocation, procurement of technological equipment, data planning, developing goals and objectives, capital requirements and desired outcomes of programs. Serving as a liaison with administration in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating operations. * Reviewing comprehensiveness of programs on an ongoing basis and develops strategies for program adaptation to market changes. * Preparing reports and documents for CON applications. Plans and coordinates construction projects. * Monitoring program components relative to criteria by regulatory agencies. * Working in collaboration with the Research Institute to oversee the research operations. 2. Demonstrates ability to manage department/division in a fiscally responsible manner. * Assists in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets - operational, personnel and capital. * Develops and presents annual departmental fund budgets for the department, including forecasting of revenue trends and expense analyses. * Monitors budgetary variances and progress in budget revenue performance, and communicates to department & administration. * Supports or may assist with key revenue cycle functions, including but not limited to: scheduling, verification of insurance and demographic, co-pay collection, charge capture and referral management. * Understands the department/division's fiscal responsibility in supporting research initiatives. 3. Responsible for overseeing daily operations, and for managing all non-clinical personnel in the division and all related areas. * Hires, trains, disciplines and supervises staff. Evaluates performance and ensures efficiency in their roles. Completes appraisals on a timely basis. * Oversees scheduling (vacation, holidays) and ensures adequate coverage at all times. Performs related personnel functions. * Ensures team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
