Our Opportunity:

Charles Schwab Digital Services defines the experience and oversees the management of Schwab's electronic channels (schwab.com and mobile apps) and internal platforms used by Schwab service representatives and financial consultants. The group is responsible for providing tools and experiences that enable clients to achieve their financial objectives, while supporting the strategic growth of the firm. The group supports all of Schwab's business enterprises and works with a wide range of internal stakeholders including IT, sales and service, strategy and marketing.

The group is seeking a Senior Manager who will assist in leading strategic platform, product and communication projects, working with product managers, as well as various stakeholders throughout the firm.

What you'll do:

  • Own all aspects of digital product development for Schwab's digital forms platform from strategic development to implementation, including understanding client needs, prioritizing potential solutions, measuring success through key metrics and iterating smartly.

  • Develop a deep understanding of client needs, build close relationships with key stakeholders, and deliver outcome-oriented solutions.

  • Develop and maintain strategic product roadmap and serve as the product owner and champion of the digital forms platform vision throughout the organization

  • Work with the RegCom team to provide technical support for update and maintenance of regulatory communications and forms content for emerging rules and regulations, as well as to enhance the client experience and improve operational efficiency.

  • Navigate complex projects and translate high-level production concepts into detailed business requirements and implementation plans.

  • Stay informed of compliance/regulatory issues that may impact regulatory documents and assist in developing agreements and updates which comply with applicable rules, regulations and business needs.

  • Build relationships across the firm.

  • Translate product vision into specific deliverables, and ensure rigor in execution and attention to detail by effectively managing the product backlog.

  • Identify and partner on process improvements which enhance Schwab's digital experience.

  • Translate client needs/competitive pressure into product vision and define detailed requirements for consumption by technology teams.

  • Leverage research and data to inform and support analysis for future enhancements.

  • Provide ongoing leadership and support to cross-functional teams developing new digital forms products and enhancements; participate in User Acceptance Testing as appropriate.

  • Focus on business impact and come up with actionable recommendations informed by high quality data analysis and metrics.

  • Provide a Lifecycle Product management approach to the digital forms platform at all stages of the product lifecycle.

  • Serve as subject matter expert for the digital forms platform, and address escalations/questions from service teams and clients.

  • Create and maintain reports that provide visibility into the health of the program.

  • Develop business cases and presentations to management to aid in decision-making and funding requests.

  • Technical background with a keen understanding of broader business needs and strategy.

  • Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team within modern product methodologies.

  • Self-starter with outstanding organizational skills and ability to track multiple projects in tandem.

  • Effective relationship builder--ability to partner cross-functionally, cross-enterprise and work effectively with various levels of the organization as well as various personality types.

  • Comfort in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethic.

  • Experience with and ability to lead people and projects through influence

  • Strong written and verbal communication, being able to transform complex topics into well-organized, understandable communications to different audiences, including Leadership

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Self-starter attitude with a strong passion for business process improvement and achieving meaningful results

  • Experience in Agile development practices, ideally Product Owner responsibilities.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, emotional maturity and sound decision making capabilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication, being able to transform complex topics into well-organized, understandable communications to different audiences, including Leadership

  • Ability to cultivate relationships with a variety of internal consumer platforms and external partners

  • Expert usage of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio; familiarity and expertise with Adobe products, particularly Acrobat Pro, InDesign and Adobe Experience Manager, a plus.

  • Bachelors degree required, MBA a plus.
