Responsibilities

In this position you will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams designing, developing, and verifying high reliability digital electronics for use in a wide array of applications. These applications include processor boards, FPGA and SOC boards, memory applications including DDR and high speed I/O. As a senior member of the Harsh Environments Electronics Group you will help shape digital hardware architectures and lead electronics development activities by applying sound engineering and project management principles.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • BSEE and 7+ years of experience or MSEE degree and 5+ years of experience.

  • Experience working with and knowledge of trade space for radiation hardened parts.

  • Schematic capture and board layout experience.

  • Experience integrating and debugging embedded systems.

  • Ability to perform circuit simulation using HyperLynx.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Mentor Graphics PCB design flow.

  • Experience with Xilinx or Microchip FPGA/SOC design flow.

  • Experience in design for harsh environments as embodied in common commercial and military standards (e.g. RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD-810, etc.).

As a Digital Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering solutions to customers in diverse application areas including signal and image processing, hardware security, communications, machine learning and embedded computing. You will be responsible for the design from concept to delivery while adhering to schedules and budgets. You will also work on design verification using SystemVerilog and methodologies such as UVM. You will work in multi-disciplinary teams with opportunities to learn, grow and contribute to a variety of projects. Join us as we develop the next generation of embedded hardware platforms. The successful candidate will contribute to the architecture and design of digital systems incorporating FPGAs and ASICs. The candidate must have experience with FPGA or ASIC design or embedded computing. Applicants should also understand high level design, simulation and verification and be familiar with tools and process flows supporting the design and verification of digital ASICs and FPGAs.
