Responsibilities

• Develop build and deployment solutions at the core layers of the platform written in Ruby (Ruby on Rails as well as Sinatra and plain Ruby applications)

• Write PostgreSQL, MongoDB and DocumentDB queries

• Understand code using message queuing systems (AMQP/RabbitMQ,

• XMPP/Openfire, MQTT)

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using various tools

• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers, operations team) to identify system requirements in order to package, build and deploy solutions

• Investigate the root-causes of non-conforming software

• Perform root cause analysis of issues and provide solutions

• Stay up to date with new technologies, test automation tools and strategies

Requirements

• 7+ years of building and maintaining infrastructure for large-scale enterprise

• applications

• Proven work experience in supporting software developers with strong knowledge of Shell/Bash Scripting, Ruby, Python, Node.js, Java, Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DocumentDB), Web Services, Amazon API Gateway, AWS DB Migration Services, Amazon CloudFront CDN, AWS CloudFormation, Chef, AWS OpsWorks, AWS Systems Manager, AWS Lambda

• Proficiency with Ruby based frameworks (Rails, Sinatra)

• Proficiency in serverless AWS infrastructure

• Proficiency building and deploying Angular, React applications

• Expert in AWS and AWS Systems Manager

• Strong knowledge of Docker and containerized solutions

• Strong experience in distributed systems design and best practices

• Strong Linux knowledge (Ubuntu 18.04+), Linux Architecture (x86, ARM)

• Experience working with Android (6+) is a strong plus

• Strong organization skills with ability to work independently as well as within a crossfunctional teams setting

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Experience with following SDLC and industry's best practices

• Strong experience with CI/CD and Orchestration Frameworks such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, and Kubernetes

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum/Kanban development process

• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject is a must

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional strongly preferred

The salary range for this role is $130,000-$150,000 per year. Compensation is determined during our interview process by assessing a candidate's experience and skills relative to internal peers and market benchmarks evaluated for the scope and responsibilities of the position.
